I had that first one on the wall in the office, even before I know what it was and where it was from. It would always confuse people, it was very noticeable.
Thanks, BD. I’m disappointed to hear that the Queenslanders were not being original. Or maybe they were the brains behind a sign which has since spread across the world?
we have similar signs to this outside of one of our offices in Sydney. The noticing the notice one is there and well as the understanding one. There is also a PRIVATE POETRY. Trespassers welcome. And a warning type sign that says. REALITY made for people who can’t handle theatre
I just love that first one. Where did you find it? I will see if I can notice it…
It’s on the path by the river, just north of the Brisbane Powerhouse.
Thanks I will see if I can notice it…
These are very chuckle-worthy.
Well spotted!
I hope you enjoy your time in my home town.
I simply love that sense of humour…came across much of that in New Zealand too. Signs and cars…
And congratulations to the local councils that allowed, or maybe even commissioned them!

know = knew … of course

No, I had a picture of THAT VERY sign! Got it somewhere on the internet. As far as can tell it is original!
Whoever thought it up would be delighted to hear that, BD.
Oh, these are brilliant, Richard! I wish our local authorities had such a sense of humour!
If only Sydney was that funny. (or is it and I haven’t noticed ??)

Yes, I remember the ‘Private Poetry’ sign in Sculpture by the Sea. There was also one with a knotted pole labelled k-NO-t STANDING.
