BAGNI DI LUCCA – the delights of a Tuscan village

A View from the Bridge

You’ll be hearing a lot about Bagni di Lucca over the coming days.

We’ve been lucky enough to arrange a house swap with fellow blogger Debra Kolkka of the highly recommended site Bagni di Lucca and Beyond.

Your balcony flowers are surviving, Debra.

Bagni di Lucca is a spa town, on the Lima River north of Lucca and Pisa.

It’s a great base for exploring those famous towns and for climbing up into the beautiful hills of the Garfagnana area.

But when we have all this right outside our apartment, why would we want to go anywhere?

Upstream the view is just as good.

Better coffee than in Holland...nearly up to Leichhardt standard.

  1. Have a cappuccino and a sfoglia for me at Bar Italia. Rosi tells me it was 42 degrees there yesterday – apart from that, I wish I was there. Have a great time and thanks for the nod to my blog.

    • We beat the worst of the heat by heading for the higher hills, BdL. Fabulous day, and more about it very soon. And your flowers got a good drink afterwards – though they’re tough little survivors!

  2. Carla

Don’t forget to tast a Limoncello with ice with the famous almond cookies, regards, Carla

  3. Mulino Dominillo

Enjoy your stay. Bagni di Lucca is magic!

  4. I love Debra’s blog. Bagni di Lucca is definitely on my ‘list’.
