SCULPTURE FOR ALL FOR FREE

We’ve never found a better public art event anywhere in the world than Sydney’s wonderful Sculpture by the Sea.

Of course it helps to have a spectacular location, perched on the cliff tops with views across Bondi Beach and Tamarama.

There are just over a hundred artworks, and they attract hundreds of thousands of visitors every year. At dawn the two kilometre stretch is the domain of the joggers and the dog-walkers.

Oh, and the early morning surfers enjoy it too.

It’s on every year, around the end of October and early November. It’s well worth planning a trip to Sydney, just for this.

  1. Great photos! I really enjoy the interactive spray bottles & shell this year. Always fun to check out the new SBTS installments 🙂

What a wonderful shot of Tamara Beach. Only saw the spray bottles first trawl through. Second time I saw the ocean and the cliffs. Great photo.

    • Thanks, Angela. Being ‘westies’ we common folk don’t get to the Sydney beaches very often. When we do, we always say ‘We have to do this more often.’ SBTS provides a great annual excuse.

  3. Some good stuff there Richard, I especially like the Barbara Licha piece!

  4. I love this! I wanna see it someday!

  5. You got some great shots this year, Richard. Thanks for sharing.
