About spin-off and speed...
Actually, I also saw many messages from relatives expressing their hope that I focus on writing the main storyline and leave the extras for later.
But these days have been really busy... I think everyone basically knows the reason already
So just reply uniformly then.
This spin-off is actually very special.
The reason is that when I first wanted to write this article, the plan was to have one chapter of main line and one chapter of memories. And it has been like this from the very beginning.
Later also heard some opinions, felt that it was not good to disperse from the beginning, so decided to postpone this plan.
And I directly changed the content of memories into a spin-off, that is, leaving this section, it can still be read only with the main line.
What's the meaning of that?
It's roughly an answer to some questions in the main storyline.
Why did I interweave the main line and side story?
There is also a sequence problem here. The first two chapters of the spin-off are not obvious, but the later content corresponds to the spin-off and the main line.
For example, when the main storyline mentions that there is another boy beside Xiaoxing, the extra chapter will say that Lin Yue actually knew Xiaoxing a long time ago.
The extra episodes later on will probably follow this line of thinking, for example when Yu Tian's "fiancée" officially appears, the extra episodes will also clarify what happened between Yu Tian and Cheng Jiajia.
Of course, these can also be known from the main line without looking at the extra chapters, but the main line is Xie's first-person perspective, her views will be very subjective and cannot fully restore the truth.
So, if the spin-off is written completely independently... it's likely to be confusing when reading through it roughly -- because the content of the spin-off was originally disjointed and fragmented, even though it can be read continuously, but basically it's all sorts of fragments.
I wrote it this way because of a Hong Kong drama "Women's Club" I watched a few years ago, which roughly had a lot of memories in its content. For example, when you see something in the main storyline, it triggers memories. Basically, that's what I wanted to write too.
Another example is playing online games. During the main task, a side task may be triggered occasionally, but it must be triggered there. When you move to the next map or the next NPC, this side task will not be triggered again.
So, everyone is not interested in the extras, actually they can be skipped. This is also why I call them extras and don't write them directly in the same order as the main text chapters.
As for the speed, I admit that my updates are not fast, but basically two chapters have been reached, which is also my limit. Everyone can finish reading two chapters in about ten minutes. But at this speed - writing two chapters takes at least five hours, and this is when I don't get distracted or stuck on the plot.
Of course, I also have to admit that my writing is slow and not as good as other authors because I pay attention to the details of the text. I have to admit that I am a semi-illiterate person, many times when I write a word, I need to look up the dictionary, I'm afraid that the words I use are not correct.
There are many people who are illiterate. When I look at others, there are some words that I don't understand the meaning of and can't even read aloud. When it comes to classical Chinese, if it's more than three lines, I get dizzy.
I still have one more year of university, and I'm currently in a crazy internship period. Every day when I get back home is usually after 7 pm, and as an oral English teacher, although it's just oral English, apart from being at school, I also need to prepare lessons when I get back home. Apart from writing articles, I have to take out some time every day to prepare. In this situation where I update twice a day, half of the time is sleeping after 1 am... and waking up at 7 or 8 am. Sometimes when I make plans with friends to hang out, I can only sleep later or wake up earlier. When I'm updating more frequently, it's even worse.
So I really tried my best to update. Sometimes it's inevitable that there will be a delay in updates... For example, today should have had an extra chapter. I estimate that today won't make it -- and the past few days still owe one more chapter. I also don't know when I can make up for it.
But I really didn't mean to...
And the final exam is coming soon, I still owe many papers... Also need to go back to school, so I've been working hard hoping to finish by the end of June, now I don't know if I can make it, but I'll try my best.
Whatever. That's all for now... I know this announcement is also a mess.
Let it go
