Made a big mistake
He handed me the thing he had been fiddling with in his hand for half a day, "Write your resignation letter in English and submit it directly to the HR department.
Yu Tian left the tea room before me. Within the time it takes to smoke a cigarette, I was abandoned here for the second time, feeling extremely heart-wrenching.
I looked down at the cup of matcha latte that I had always liked, which had already gone cold. Drinking it again wouldn't be enjoyable, just like emotions, from fervent to icy, all in an instant, once changed, it's really a bit hard to swallow.
So I didn't go out again, and spent the whole afternoon in a daze in the tea room. The house seemed to be isolated or sealed off, and no one came in after Yu Tian left. I found a particularly uncomfortable position to sit in, and my mood was also particularly uncomfortable.
I recall the days in high school when I chased after Yu Tian, and the brief moments we spent together that can be counted on one hand. The long-forgotten scenes are sometimes clear and sometimes blurry, like a distant breeze that suddenly blows across me, making my entire body feel cool and refreshing.
The whole room was swallowed by darkness when Lin suddenly appeared in front of me again, frowning as he turned on the light, holding a pack of tissues in his hand.
"Sorry, I shouldn't have said something so serious. The mobile phone's first launch address:"
"It's nothing."
I waved my hand and got up softly from the sofa, walked around Lin Jing and pushed the door to leave.
Punch out, off work.
At night I was insomnia again, staring at the ceiling doing eye exercises, and from time to time hearing Lin Yue's sound of typing on his mechanical keyboard next door.
So I made an excuse for myself to go out and pour water, when passing by Lin Yue's room, I turned my head sideways, through the door gap, a faint light and weak music sound came out.
I suddenly sniffled loudly, exaggeratedly, like I was wailing.
Lin Yue opened the door and came out, looking at me in surprise as I was shivering violently. He took a step forward, and I quickly turned around and escaped back into my own small room to continue my insomnia career.
It's just that after that, I never heard the sound of mechanical keyboard clacking again. It's actually quite lonely like this.
More than a dozen hours later, I was once again possessed by my second personality and arrived at the company on time.
The position of Lin Jing next door was empty, and Li Xiaoming looked at me with a knowing glance when he passed by. "Lin Jing is on leave today, be careful not to access the company's server if you go online, he mentioned that there might be some problem when he called this morning."
I nodded silently, but only took in about a tenth of what was being said.
I spent the entire morning using phrases like "just a minute", "right away" and "got it" to brush off tasks assigned by other departments.
I huddled in the smallest cubicle farthest from Yu Tian's office, repeatedly filling out my name, information and reasons for resignation on a template of an English resignation letter.
My soul was restless, rubbing the puffy eye sockets due to lack of sleep, and pretending to be nonchalant while staring at the tightly closed door of Yu Tian's office. Then I began a very long self-loathing, the whole thought transformation process was like being splashed with a cup of fresh dog blood, making my mind reel.
Finally, I finished writing the last line of my resignation letter. I feel that life is starting to brighten up again. With excitement, I gaze at the shining screen and click on the print button in Word.
But when I walked up to that huge all-in-one printer, I became disheartened again.
It spits out sheet after sheet of white paper.
I returned to the computer, and the screen suddenly flickered and turned black. The surrounding area was filled with a series of beeping sounds, and everyone around me stood up in confusion, each person having a similarly blacked-out computer screen in front of them.
"What's going on?"
"Li Si replied, 'The company's intranet system seems to have been invaded. Fortunately, the meeting materials we need later have already been printed out.'"
I lowered my head under the gaze gathered on me and saw the densely packed reminder stickers on the monitor, "Sorry, I forgot to print the files you need to use, nor did I back them up."
