Chapter 42: Birthday Surprise (Part 2)
The night sky was filled with the sound of fireworks and cheers as the guests celebrated Dream's birthday. The smoke from the fireworks wafted through the air, carrying with it the sweet scent of gunpowder.
Dream's eyes widened in surprise as she gazed up at the sky, where a burst of colorful fireworks exploded into a thousand twinkling lights. The words "Happy Birthday" were emblazoned across the sky in bold, sparkling letters.
The guests erupted into cheers and applause, whistling and shouting congratulations to Dream. Her friends, Hua Hua and Zi Qi, rushed over to hug her, beaming with joy.
Meanwhile, Cheng Tian and Hai Jun stood off to the side, watching the commotion with warm smiles on their faces. They exchanged a knowing glance, and Cheng Tian nodded subtly in approval.
As the fireworks continued to light up the sky, Dream's eyes shone with tears of happiness. She felt grateful for her friends and family, who had all come together to make this day so special for her.
Just then, a loud boom echoed through the air, and a shower of sparks rained down from above. The guests gasped in surprise as a giant banner unfurled across the sky, bearing the words "Happy Birthday Dream" in glittering silver letters.
Dream's jaw dropped in amazement as she stared up at the banner. She felt like she was on top of the world, with all her loved ones gathered around her to celebrate this special day.
As the night wore on and the fireworks came to an end, the guests began to disperse, each one stopping to congratulate Dream and wish her a happy birthday. The atmosphere was filled with laughter and music, and Dream felt like she was floating on air.
In the midst of all the chaos, Cheng Tian slipped up behind Dream and whispered something in her ear. She turned around, startled, and saw him grinning mischievously at her.
"What did you just say?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper.
Cheng Tian chuckled and leaned in closer. "I said, 'You're welcome, little one.'"
Dream's eyes widened as realization dawned on her. "You were the one who arranged all this, weren't you?"
Cheng Tian nodded, his eyes sparkling with amusement. "Guilty as charged."
Dream felt a surge of gratitude towards him and threw her arms around his waist in a tight hug. "Thank you so much, Cheng Tian! This has been the best birthday ever!"
As they hugged, Hai Jun approached them, a warm smile on his face. "I think it's time we got going, don't you?" he said, nodding towards Dream.
Dream nodded reluctantly, still feeling like she was in a dream world. As they made their way through the crowds of guests, she caught sight of her friends, who were all waving goodbye and blowing kisses at her.
The night air was filled with the sound of laughter and music as Dream and her loved ones said their goodbyes and headed off into the night, the memory of this special birthday party etched forever in their hearts.
