Dear reader,
I want to preface this message by apologizing for vanishing all of a sudden. I wish I could give you an good reason for my absence, but the honest to God truth is that I got a bit overwhelmed between work, social commitments, and my writing process. In hindsight, I believe I put too much pressure on myself to produce both quality and quantity. In an effort to do so, I pushed myself too far. It got to the point where I started writing during my lunchbreak at work, despite having more important engagements I knew I had to prioritize.
Still, the purpose of this announcement isn't to come up with excuses. As someone who's been reading novels on this website since it was known as "Royal Road Legends", I know how frustrating it is when an author doesn't finish their work, especially when you've invested both time and interest in it.
Nevertheless, I feel like—sadly—I must put this story on an indefinite hiatus, at least for now. I still have an idea of where I want the story to go, but now that I've read through it again (the first time since posting it), I also feel like there are bunch of plotholes I wish I'd addressed differently from the get-go. So, when I eventually decide to continue the story, expect some changes.

Finally, before concluding this message, I want to thank everyone who's reached out to me in the comments and messages. It truly isn't until you become an author that you realize how amazing the RoyalRoad community is.
For those of you interested, know that I'm still writing—both this story and others. But I won't post something again until I feel like I'm ready for the commitment that follows.
This might not have been the message you'd been hoping for but, nevertheless, I thank you for reading it and the rest of my story. It brings me great joy to know that something I created resonated with so many people.
