Chapter 21 The Scenery on the Bridge
However, Qing Lan didn't know that when Shao Jie was eating her snacks, the person he was thinking of in his mind was Lin Xi. # Tian Tian Xiao Shuo Wang @
An Shaojie was like a child full of fantasy, or perhaps his mind had already played tricks on him, or maybe it was because he missed Lin Xi so much that he fantasized those snacks were sent to him by Lin Xi in ways he couldn't see, just like the mysterious gifts that suddenly appear beside a child's bed on Christmas Eve.
Before long, it's winter again.
Since September 1991, Qinglan and Shaojie started fourth grade in elementary school, Shaomin started sixth grade, Jiawei went to junior high school in the town to attend first year, boarding, returning home every Saturday.
After entering winter, Shao Min was basically absent from school for three days and present for two days due to physical reasons, without a regular schedule.
After entering severe winter, Qing Lan waited under the old locust tree at the bridgehead for people going to school every day, and there was only An Shaojie.
Without Shao Min by his side, Shao Jie's animosity towards Qing Lan seemed to have decreased a lot. When he passed by Qing Lan, he didn't give her the cold shoulder or look at her with disdain and hostility like before.
He glanced at her lightly as he passed by her, or walked a few steps past her and turned back to take another look without leaving any trace.
Qing Lan followed closely behind.
He seems to have become friendlier, and Qing Lan is no longer as afraid of him as before. She follows behind him, but not in the same timid manner as before. Sometimes she even overtakes him, only to be overtaken by him again. The two seem to have fallen into a pattern of one chasing after the other.
At dismissal time, Qing Lan still put a bag of snacks on the side of the road, but she wasn't sure if An Shaojie would take it or not.
So, from the moment she put it down, she would occasionally turn her head back to look, patting her own chest, silently praying, "I hope Shao Jie can see that bag of snacks, I hope Shao Jie won't disdain them, I hope he'll pick them up."
Qing Lan closed her eyes slightly, and even the cold couldn't calm her nervous excitement. Her cheeks were slightly flushed due to tension.
Oh, Qing Lan gently patted her little hand in front of her chest, overjoyed!
Because she glanced and saw Shao Jie bending down where she put her snacks, he picked up the package of snacks.
But he didn't tear open and eat the snack like Shao Min did, instead putting the package of snacks into his backpack.
"It doesn't matter if you don't eat now, he can have it when he gets home." Qing Lan clasped her hands together in front of her chest, looking shy and lowering her head, a blush spreading across her face.
The river water by the roadside had frozen, and the road surface that had been splashed with water was frozen hard. The mountain wind howling in the distant mountains made a loud noise. Qing Lan wore a big red glove knitted by Lin Xie En's mother on her hand. The warmth of her body plus the warmth in her heart made her feel not cold at all, and instead, there seemed to be a hot flow flowing through her body.
Severe winter, mountain cold and water thin.
The water in the pond in front of Liu's village has dried up, and the remaining thin layer of water has frozen into a thick layer of ice. Qing Lan and An Shaojie walked to the stone arch bridge at the east end of the village, one after the other.
The thin, cold water under the bridge made the ancient stone arch bridge look very lonely. Qing Lan crossed the bridge and stopped at the highest point of the bridge's arch.
A pale purple robe with a green-edged embroidered peony on the chest, a dark green wind hat, standing tall in the green hills, gazing at Shao Jie walking towards the village head.
On the right was a pond, and on the left was a narrow path with stagnant water. A gentle breeze suddenly picked up, blowing An Shaojie's hair slightly upwards. Although he wasn't a Tujia person, he wore a black cotton-padded jacket with a Tujia-style front closure, and on his feet were a pair of black cotton shoes with a closed toe. His black cotton pants were a bit short, and even though he was wearing a pair of grey long tube socks, you could still see his thin ankles.
He was slender and lean, as if a gust of wind could blow him away.
He walked to the edge of the bridge, closest to the Qinglan, An Shaojie slightly lowered his head and turned his face towards the pond, hastily crossing the bridge and heading west. Divine Treasure Throne
He still didn't look at Qing Lan directly, but Qing Lan saw a hint of soft light in his eyes and face.
As he disappeared into the distance at the west end of the village, Qing Lan finally withdrew her gaze.
"Lan Lan, on such a cold day, with such strong winds on the bridge, what are you doing standing there?"
Qing Lan turned around and saw Liu Xiu Zhen standing by the fence of the courtyard, gathering the dried Chinese cabbage.
Qing Lan lowered her head, dodging eye contact, "Nothing, my backpack is too heavy, I'm tired from walking, just taking a break."
Since entering the fourth grade of elementary school, Qing Lan has become less willing to talk to Liu Xiu Zhen because her overbearing questioning tone often makes Qing Lan feel uncomfortable.
And now Qing Lan has begun to understand some things and gradually understands the meaning of Liu Xiu Zhen's words with hidden meanings.
So every time she realized that Liu Xiu Zhen was going to pry into the affairs of An Shaojie's family, or scold her and An Shaojie, she would try to avoid her as much as possible.
"Are you looking at that kid? Are you coming back with him again?" Liu Xiu Zhen asked bluntly.
"What are you talking about, Mother?" Qing Lan frowned and stomped her foot, saying: "We got out of class at the same time, of course we'd come back together. Do I have to sit in the classroom for an hour, waiting for him to go home before I can go home? Or should I just leave class early and go home?"
Qing Lan gave Liu Xiu Zhen a cold glance and ignored her, walking straight past her into the courtyard.
"Dead girl, you were born in vain, just like your father who has no integrity." Liu Xiu Zhen cursed at Qing Lan from across the courtyard wall.
In the courtyard, Grandma was carrying a bamboo basket towards the house, with needles and threads inside, as well as the embroidered shoe uppers she had just made, on which a bright peony flower was stitched.
"Ah Po." Qing Lan called out from behind.
The old lady turned around, saw Qinglan, pouted her mouth, and smiled all over her face. "Ah! Lanlan is back, must be hungry! Grandma has already cooked dinner, waiting for you, our little darling."
"I'm not hungry, Grandma." Qing Lan took the winnow from Grandma's hand and supported her as they walked towards the house.
"Wow... I killed you."
"Shao Jie!"
"Put down your knife, what do you want to do."
"Hurry up! Hurry up!"
Suddenly, from the direction of Bai Cui Fen's house outside the courtyard, a burst of noise, wailing and crying voices came.
"Oh no, it sounds like Father's voice." Qing Lan was startled and involuntarily turned her head to look outside the courtyard, concentrating on listening to the sound from outside.
"Shao Jie, calm down, put down the knife." It was Bai Cuifen's heart-wrenching voice.
"I'll kill you today!" Shao Jie's furious cry.
"Go quickly, Sheng Ge." White Cui Fen's crying voice.
"It's really Father Ah! What happened?" Qing Lan reaffirmed once again.
The old woman didn't hear the commotion outside clearly and continued to ask some questions about school in front of Qing Lan.
Qing Lan didn't have time to think about anything else, she threw the broom on the ground and ran out quickly. However, Qing Lan didn't know that when Shao Jie was eating her snacks, the person he was thinking of in his mind was Lin Xi. [Pirate] I want to be the pirate king's woman
