Chapter 7: The Challenge

  The group of friends sat in stunned silence, watching as Shao Ye's face turned red with anger. They had never seen him so worked up over a woman before.

  "You're going to prove that she's not a lesbian?" Xiao Yu asked, trying to stifle a grin.

  Shao Ye nodded, his eyes blazing with determination. "I will make her fall in love with me. I'll show you all that she's not like that."

  The group exchanged skeptical glances. They had never seen Shao Ye so invested in someone before. It was clear that he was smitten with Cheng Xi.

  "I don't know, man," Xiao Yu said, shaking his head. "You're really going to try to change her? That's a pretty tall order."

  Shao Ye's face turned even redder as he stood up, his fists clenched at his sides. "I'll do whatever it takes. I'll make her see that I'm the one for her."

  The group watched in amazement as Shao Ye stormed out of the room, determined to win Cheng Xi's heart.

  "Well, this should be interesting," Xiao Yu said, chuckling.

  "I know, right?" Zhang Zi replied, grinning. "I've never seen Shao Ye so worked up over a woman before. He must really like her."

  The group continued to discuss Shao Ye's chances with Cheng Xi, but deep down, they all knew that it wouldn't be easy. After all, Cheng Xi was a strong-willed and independent woman who didn't seem to care about Shao Ye's wealth or status.

  As the night wore on, the group decided to make a bet on whether Shao Ye would succeed in winning Cheng Xi's heart. The stakes were high, but they all knew that it would be worth it to see Shao Ye try.
