Chapter 84: Reconciliation

  Chapter Eighty-four Reconciled

I fell into a deep sleep, and I don't know how long it took for me to wake up. I opened my blurry eyes, and the scene in front of me was extremely familiar: a cold-colored room with fashionable decorations. Wasn't this the hospital where Ye first blocked the bullet for me?

  Have I returned home?

I take a look at the bedside and find that this person is still sleeping. He's as handsome as ever, with fair skin, a straight nose bridge, and tightly closed eyes. He seems to have lost his former coldness and gained a bit of childish innocence instead. I couldn't help but touch his face gently.

Suddenly, the person sleeping on the edge of my bed woke up. He grabbed my hand and excitedly hugged me, saying: "Wife, you're finally awake!"

"Night, let me go, okay?" I struggled to break free from his arms. I don't know if he still likes me or not now. I'm afraid that when I fall in love with him again, he'll abandon me once more. That feeling is unbearable.

He held me in his arms, giving me no chance to break free, and instead held me even tighter: "Wife, I won't let go again, I won't lose you again."

"Aren't you fond of your Elly?" I said with a tinge of jealousy, but still feeling sweet inside. He said he loved me, really loved me. I chose to quietly snuggle into his arms and savor the unique lavender scent that belonged only to him.

He stroked my head, his movements so gentle: "Wife, I love you, forever and always. She's just...just..."

"But what?" I looked at his helpless expression and couldn't help but laugh.

"Hmph!" I finally couldn't help but laugh out loud.

"Wife, what are you smiling at?" he asked curiously. After a moment of puzzlement, she seemed to have discovered something: "Are you fooling me?"

I looked up with pleading eyes: "I don't have any, okay?"

"Is it? But I don't think so. It seems that I was too lenient on you." He said with a sly smile.

I was afraid to ask: "What punishment... uh..." Before I could finish speaking, his lips had already covered mine.

"Wife, after kissing so many times, you still won't close your eyes?" He said with a playful smile.

I turned my head and ignored him: "Of course I haven't kissed as many people as you have, and of course I won't!"

"Wife, can I take it that you're jealous?" he said with a smile.

  I pouted and said: "Okay!"

"Alright, then I..." He took advantage of my distraction and read my lips again.

I reluctantly resisted, mumbling: "Let go!" He cunningly took advantage of my open mouth, his tongue slipped in and plundered the sweetness from mine. I slowly responded to him, we seemed to have entwined for many centuries, until I was almost suffocated before he let me go.

"Sorry, wife!" I fell softly into his arms, looking up at him in confusion.

"Alicia this thing......" He looked at me with a pitiful expression like a child.

  "Did you really love her?"

  He shook his head.

"That's good, since you've never loved her, then there's no need to explain it to me." I said calmly.

  "Maybe..." he muttered.

"Alright, I think..." My words were cut off by his ringing phone.

He looked at me and took out his phone: "..."

He listened to the phone call and still didn't say a word, his facial expression immediately turned into an icy look.

After hanging up the phone, he said seriously: "I have something to attend to, you stay here. Remember! You absolutely cannot leave this room."

I was startled by his serious expression: "Yè, is there something wrong? Tell me!" I shook his arm in fear.

He gently comforted me saying: "It's okay, I'll go and come back."

I could only obediently nod my head, thinking to myself: You won't let me go, I'll definitely go! It's not because I'm being stubborn, but I really don't want to lose him again. Looking at his expression, I was really afraid that I would never see him again...
