Chapter 87: The Unsolved Problem

  Chapter Eighty-Seven Unsolved Problem

Jiang and I kept doing it until we got hungry.

"Are you hungry?" he asked with concern

  I nodded: "Starving!"

"Let's go get something to eat! We should be able to see the night after we're done." He said calmly.

"By the way, where are Cheng and Xun? I haven't seen them all day." I asked in puzzlement. If it's a night mission, Sheng and Xuan shouldn't still be at headquarters, should they?

"They? Just got off the plane and rushed back, as for Ming... Should be entangled by that girl." He said with a playful smile.

I asked hesitantly: "Girl? Is it Lan Fengtian?"

"You know him too?" Sheng's face was full of surprise.

"Of course I know! It's you who doesn't." I looked at him in puzzlement.

"Oh! When we were discussing things on the video call that day, we saw a strange girl appear in his house and it really surprised us. However, he didn't admit it, just said she was a maid, I think she's almost his wife!" He laughed and said. That's right, my brother has never liked playing with other girls since childhood, let alone talking to them. Because he says women are always troublesome!

We came to a western restaurant nearby and chose a seat by the window. I sat by the window, looking at the view outside, and scenes related to the night appeared in my mind one after another.

Suddenly I felt a strong force pushing me, and I immediately came back to my senses. I turned around and looked at Tui: "What?"

"Han, why are you always so distracted," Sheng said worriedly.

"Is there? I don't think so." I said calmly.

"Nothing? Alright, take a look at what we have to eat then!" He said and handed me a menu from the waiter.

I politely accepted the menu, but for some reason, the words and pictures inside seemed to refuse to enter my eyes.

"What's wrong?" Sheng found out that something was off with me.

  "Huh?" I asked in confusion.

  "Looks like you're daydreaming again."

"Oh!" I hung my head down like a kid who had done something wrong.

"Why don't you order the couple's set meal? Today's couple's meal steak is very fresh and cheap." The waiter suggested to us as we were hesitating.

"We don't..." I hastily explained, afraid of being misunderstood by the waiter.

"I know what he's going to say," I interrupted, "Okay! We'll take one!"

"Alright, just a moment!" The waitress gave us a sweet smile and cleared away the things on the table before leaving.

I turned my head back towards the window, ignoring the puzzled gaze.

Cheng looked at me and asked in puzzlement: "Why won't you let me explain?"

"Is it necessary?" I said coldly.

Cheng looked at me with an inexplicable expression and anxiously asked: "Han, what's wrong with you?"

  "Ah!" I exclaimed suddenly.

"Huh?" Cheng looked at me with a puzzled and worried expression in his eyes.

"It's been less than two months since you and I have been together, right?" I said lightly.

"Huh? What's this?" Cheng was taken aback by my sudden question.

I looked at him and said lightly: "I don't seem to understand him very well. Do you think we will be happy together?"

"Han, why ask like this?" Sheng said somewhat nervously.

I shook my head: "I suddenly feel like I've only known Ye for a short time, will he be the one I can entrust my life to? I really don't know if I truly love him."

"It's cold! What are you saying? Don't scare me!" Sheng said fearfully.

I no longer responded to him, quietly gazing out the window. The tranquility between us was restored. As I basked in this silence, my mind wandered back to the events of the past few months, which seemed so unreal.

From the day my grandfather ordered me to transfer schools, my fate began to change quietly. The appearance of Ye is an indelible mark in my life. I don't know if he will be the one I love. From our first meeting, he almost ran over me with his car. Later, when I recklessly went to find my younger brother and got into trouble, he took a bullet for me. I've always wondered, is everything he's done truly out of love for me? Or... I've lost trust in love, especially when it comes to Ye. Although I heard Sheng say that Ye has been doing all this for me, and I acknowledge that the thing with He Qiao'er was a misunderstanding, his confession to me at that critical moment really moved me. But this time, seeing him kiss Aili and her undressing in front of him, it pains me deeply. I don't know if I should still believe him, does he truly love me? And if he loves me, do I love him?
