Volume 3 Chapter 92: Agreeing to the Proposal
Sitting on the "Ling Xiang Fei Che" at night, we soon arrived in the suburbs.
Looking at the scenery in front of me, I was overjoyed and excitedly asked: "Ye, where is this? It's so beautiful!"
"Do you like it here?" Ye didn't answer and instead asked back.
I nodded and hurriedly ran down to this patch of grass.
"Wait for me!" Ye shouted from behind as she ran after me.
He chased me and I ran to the other side of this lawn with my hands.
"Wow!" I exclaimed in amazement.
"We'll just eat here then!"
I nodded happily and turned around to ask: "How did you know there were so many sea cucumbers here?!"
"Secret!" The mysterious god said at night: "I'll leave for a while and come back later! You wait here for me, don't run around!"
I nodded obediently: "Go! I'll wait here!"
Watching the night leave its back, I happily shuttle in this sea of hibiscus flowers. The colorful hibiscus grows neatly in their own territory.
I was happily playing in the flower field when I suddenly heard a familiar voice: "Wife, come quickly! There's food!"
I turned around and looked at Ye, excitedly running towards him. Seeing the table in front of him piled high with food, I happily picked up a pair of chopsticks from the table: "En! Ye, this dish is great! Do you want some?" After saying that, I picked up a piece and fed it to his mouth.
"I..." looked at me with some resentment as I fed him the dishes in front of him.
I looked and asked inexplicably: "What's wrong?"
"No, it's just... I really hate broccoli!" Yeh said tightly.
"Pffft! You're not going to tell me you've never liked broccoli and haven't eaten it all along, are you?" I said with a smile.
The kid who did something wrong looked down with a hint of grievance and nodded: "I don't like it for a reason, anyway I just don't like it!"
"Okay, okay, let's not eat this and have something else instead!" I said, picking up another dish and putting it into his mouth.
He ate the food in his mouth contentedly, and our surroundings were suddenly filled with happiness! In fact, happiness is really simple!
"How was it? Was it delicious?" I asked.
He shook his head: "Not delicious! I've had better!"
"Whose?" I asked hastily.
"It's mine!" Nangong Ye said proudly. At this moment, he was just like a small child, making it hard to imagine that he would be the leader of the world's underworld: Nangong Ye!
I put down the chopsticks with satisfaction, lifted up his face, and pressed a kiss on his lips: "This is my exclusive property, I've already sealed it, no one else can have him!"
"Alright, wife! However, my kiss is yours now. Are you going to offer something in exchange too?" Ye said with a pleased smile.
I nodded in shock, but later found that I seemed to have been deceived.
At this time, Ye took out a small box from his pocket, opened it in front of me, took out the ring inside, and put it on my finger. He said to me in a domineering tone: "From today until our official wedding day, you are not allowed to take off this engagement ring. Because it represents me, Ye Nanye. Wearing it is equivalent to telling the whole world that for the rest of your life, you are mine! You can only be my woman, Ye Nanye's!"
I smiled and nodded, looking at the platinum ring with a wooden flower pattern on my hand, a happy expression spreading across my face.
At night, he kissed me excitedly, we sat together in this field of flowers, enjoying each other's sweetness. I leaned against his chest, quietly sitting in the flower field. He also held me tightly in his arms, and we watched the sunset together, watching the sun slowly set down, finally disappearing on the horizon.
We got back in the car. In the car, Ye suddenly looked at me with a serious face and asked: "Wife, do you like me?"
"I don't like it!" I said firmly.
"Is that so? So you've never liked me from the past till now, is that right?" Ye said faintly, her face revealing sorrow and disappointment.
I wrapped my arms around his neck, planted a kiss on his face, and whispered in his ear: "Husband, I love you! So I don't like you!"
He stared at me with a look of shock on his face. Suddenly remembering something, he hastily hugged me and said: "Wife, what do you call me? Say it again!"
"Honey, I love you!" I said word by word.
At night, he excitedly hugged me in his arms: "Wife, do you know? It's because of you that I had the courage to overcome difficulties, you are my motivation!"
"Have you been waiting for this moment since we parted at the airport?" I asked him.
He nodded: "In order to hear you call me! I paid a lot and worked hard."
"I know, so I'm willing to entrust myself to you!" I said firmly.
"That's it, let's get married quickly!"
"Hey, no need to rush!" I said uneasily, looking at his expression.
"What's the hurry, if I hadn't promised you to unify the world's underworld before marrying you, I would have let you into our Nangong family home long ago. Otherwise, you wouldn't know how many more men you'd be bewildering outside!" Ye Bu Fan said.
I looked at him with a smile and asked: "What do you want to do about the wedding?"
"First go and ask for your grandfather's opinion, tell the old man about it, then let Wu and Xuan take care of it!" Ye announced his plan.
"Tell Grandpa?" I said, feeling a bit uneasy. Ever since I found out that Grandpa was responsible for my parents' death when I went to Japan as an exchange student, I've been keeping a distance from him. But I still haven't told Cheng about it.
"Seems like you're still worried about something. Are you unable to let go of what happened with your parents? Just let it go! I didn't even tell Zhen about that, and it was just something I accidentally found out. I originally thought telling you would make you aware of everything so you wouldn't be kept in the dark, but instead it's become a burden for you!"
I gave him a reassuring smile and said: "You're right, I also need to face reality sometimes! Let's go see Grandpa together, dear!"
"Great!" Nite nodded in satisfaction, fondly patting my head and saying: "Alright, let's go back now and tell them the good news! Let them choose a date, the sooner the better!"
I nodded calmly: "Okay!"
