Chapter 12 I Will Protect You

Chapter Twelve I Will Protect You

"Sister, don't cry." Cheng looked at me in his arms and comforted me gently.

I left his arms: "It's okay! I just thought of the past. Come on, let's pull hooks."

"What's wrong?" She looked at me with a puzzled expression.

  "You've forgotten!"

  "I..." nodded slightly.

"That time at the hospital!" I reminded him.

"I remember." Cheng smiled like a child, grabbed my hand and hooked his fingers around mine: "I'll protect you."

"Great! Let's go back to the classroom." I happily walked towards the classroom, without noticing a pair of eyes staring at us with a hint of anger.

Back in the classroom, I made it back to my new seat. Cheng also followed me back and returned to his own seat, lying on the desk and continuing to sleep.

One day, I always feel like there are many pairs of eyes staring at me, which makes me so nervous that I can't focus on the lesson. However, even if no one is looking at me, I still can't focus because the whole classroom is as noisy as a vegetable market. And to make matters worse, my three younger brothers have gone who-knows-where again.

After a dazed and confused day, I slowly made my way home with a limp.

"Is there a wall in your heart? But I found a window, occasionally revealing a warm and faint light. Even if you have a wall..." Hearing the familiar ringtone, I pressed the answer button without hesitation: "Hello!"

"I have something on, you go back home by yourself!"

"Chen, you..." My words were cut off as Chen hung up the phone. Hmph! I'll definitely find you. I opened the satellite tracking on my phone and located my brother's phone: Hai Fei Bar.

What's this place, saying there's something going on, I think it's just for fun. So I hailed a taxi and went to the Sea Breeze Bar.

"This, is this a bar? How can it be so deserted." I muttered to myself.

Suddenly I heard gunshots, my heart skipped a beat, I was so scared, so afraid that something would happen to him, he's the only family member I have left, I couldn't let anything happen to him. I involuntarily ran towards the bar.

Suddenly someone pulled me from behind and I fell into his arms. I looked up to see it was Nangong Ye: "Nangong Ye, how did you end up here?"

"Don't want to die, don't talk." He said coldly, although it was very quiet, but I could hear that he cared about me, he wouldn't like me, would he? I couldn't help but be startled by my own thought, we had only met once or twice, how could he like me.

I continued to be held in his arms, his chest was warm and had a faint lavender scent. Lying in his arms really made me feel at ease, very safe, and it felt different from being in my brother's arms.

Bang! Another gunshot, my fearful hands wrapped around his waist, burying my head deep in his chest, hoping to gain more sense of security from him. He seemed to notice my fear too, and one hand tightened its hold on my waist. The ambiguous atmosphere immediately enveloped us, and suddenly I felt my face turning red.

"Take advantage of it and leave first, our people will arrive next time." Nan Gong Ye broke the awkwardness.

I nodded and walked in the direction he pointed.

Suddenly, I saw a person running out from the small path beside me, raising his gun and firing at me. I was so scared that I closed my eyes. That's when I felt a strong force surrounding me, it smelled like lavender: Bang!

I opened my eyes to see Nangong Ye blocking the bullet for me, falling in front of me. I was so scared that I hugged Nangong Ye tightly in my arms, and tears fell down uncontrollably. I cried out: "Nangong Ye, wake up! Don't sleep! Night! Don't sleep, hurry up and wake up!"

The one who fired the shot didn't expect Nangong Ye to block the bullet for me, and he was also stunned in place. Suddenly, a figure appeared beside us and killed the shooter.

I still held onto Nangong Ye and cried, when I saw a helicopter arriving to take us to the hospital.
