Chapter 2: Cheng got drunk

Chapter 2 of Volume 1: Cheng ate vinegar

I stopped at the door and nervously pressed the doorbell. The one who opened the door was Grandpa, but... I curiously looked him up and down in his outfit, and finally Grandpa couldn't help but say: "No need to look anymore, I'm your grandpa, baby!"

Hearing Grandpa's voice, I was so excited that I shouted: "Grandpa, is this really you! Long time no see, I miss you so much!" After saying that, I immediately hugged Grandpa tightly.

"Oh, good girl! Have you missed Grandpa? Grandpa has almost died missing his precious!" Grandpa exclaimed happily as he hugged me tightly in his arms, completely ignoring the ugly look on Cheng's face beside him.

I watched as his face changed from white to green, and then from green to black. It was really interesting, but I didn't forget to tease him: "Grandpa, I've missed you so much! You have no idea how long it's been since you last came to see me. I've truly missed you, thinking about how good you were to me in the past. After you left, I didn't know how unaccustomed I was to living alone. It took a while for me to slowly get used to it. This time, Grandpa, won't you be leaving again soon?" I even managed to squeeze out a few tears from my eyes. At that moment, he had no idea how much I actually didn't want him around - every time he came, nothing good ever happened. I wished he would receive a phone call saying the company needed him and he could leave immediately, so as not to disturb my rare peaceful life.

Grandpa saw me looking so pitiful: "So you thought of Grandpa like that, if I had known, I wouldn't have asked someone to pick you up, you would have come yourself!"

"Really, really!" I nodded excitedly, not forgetting to glance at Cheng, whose face had turned as black as Judge Bao's because Grandpa actually treated him like a driver. Haha! Just thinking about it made me incredibly happy.

"That's enough!!!" Cheng finally couldn't bear our ignoring him and shouted out loud.

Grandpa finally reacted and said with a smile: "So big and still eating your sister's vinegar! Haha!"

She pouted her lips like a flower petal and hummed.

I walked over to the cute one. Although he was 182 cm tall, I still tried my best to tiptoe and stroked his head with my hand: "Good boy! Don't be angry, tonight sister will cook personally, okay?"

It may just be a meal to others, but for Cheng who has an eating disorder, from young to old, he only eats the dishes I cook and never eats those cooked by others outside. If it wasn't because I had to board later and we weren't in the same school, Cheng wouldn't have reluctantly eaten Zhang Shu's cooking. So, one of the reasons I meet him every other day is just to eat the meal I made!

When he heard me cooking for him to eat, he stopped pouting and just nodded coldly.

"Today you don't have to cook, I've already done it." Grandpa said, looking at us and couldn't help but say.

  "Huh??"

  "Huh??"

I and Cheng let out a sound at the same time, then looked at each other.

I asked uncertainly again; "Did you cook it?"

Grandpa nodded, and I took another look at Grandpa's outfit, which indeed looked like a chef's uniform. But I had never heard that Grandpa could cook before!

Grandpa seemed to have noticed our doubts and said, "I specially went to find someone to learn for you, go try it quickly and see how the taste is." Zhen and I could only nod.
