Chapter Forty-Three: Beginning to Harbor Doubts
Back home, I saw only Ting in the hall: "Where are Sheng and the others?"
"I'm going back." said Ceng Leng coldly. I just went out for a few minutes and he changed back to normal so quickly, not letting anyone imagine that the person who was just nervously tense to death would be him.
"Then, has Sheng also gone back?" I asked cautiously, because at this moment someone's face didn't look too good.
"En!" she replied coldly.
"What's wrong?" I asked nervously.
Cheng suddenly stood up: "I've been back for so long, and I was worried about you. As soon as you came back, you asked me which friends I have. Don't you have a conscience?"
I ran over and hugged him like a monkey hugging a tree: "Cheng, you're not jealous, are you?"
"Come down!" Cheng's voice was still cold and detached.
"Oh!" I pouted and jumped down from him.
"Look at me, I'm starving!"
"I stared at him with shining eyes: 'Will you forgive me if I cook for you?'"
"Ah! I really don't know if you'll be like me and get defeated by night later."
"What? What do you mean?"
"No, no, no. Hurry up and cook, I'm starving."
"Alright, young master." I said as I headed towards the kitchen.
However, I didn't expect Cheng to follow me in: "Sister, do you know what Ou Yang Sheng is?"
"Him? What, you're interested in him?"
"I just want to tell you not to go near them."
"But now it's probably not possible."
"Really?"
"I'm his girlfriend! How can I not get close to him?" I put down the work in my hand and asked.
"Do you know he's the boss of the 'Shadow' gang?" Cheng looked at me with a serious face.
I also looked at him seriously: "Actually, 'Shadow' was founded by me."
"What?" She stared at me with wide eyes.
"To be honest, I've been wanting to tell you this for a long time. Two years ago, I went to Japan as an exchange student for three months. That's when I met Sheng, and at the time, we were just good friends. One time, we went to a bar, and... I'm not sure how to continue, although I knew you would find out about this eventually, but it's hard for me to bring it up."
"Are you going to take them all down by yourself?" Cheng seemed to have known it all along.
I nodded like a child: "How did you know?"
"You really think I'm an idiot. From the first day you started practicing, I knew it. I didn't expose you because I wanted to hear it from your own mouth, but I didn't expect it would be now."
"I didn't tell you because I was afraid you'd object. You said before that you wouldn't let me suffer, so I learned some martial arts for your sake, to protect myself and not make you worry." I pouted.
"Are you sure it's just a little?"
"Haha! The more I learn, the more I think it's useful... " I said with a smile on my face.
"Never mind. Now I want to know if you're the mastermind behind the 'Shadow' gang."
"No, two years ago when I came back here, I didn't care about the 'Shadow' gang anymore. So I didn't expect to see him today either. But his family is in Japan, why does he have a private hospital here."
"There are too many things you don't know, anyway be careful, Ouyang Sheng, it's best to cut off all ties with him, otherwise..." Zhen looked at me with a serious face. I had a strange feeling in my heart, as if everyone was hiding something from me, was I being paranoid or...
