Chapter 10 Chapter 9 The Phantom Flower Shop

  We followed Yīng Bīng all the way down three streets, and she finally entered a flower shop called 'Huàn'. The business was indeed very good. Although the sign wasn't big, the decoration inside was beautiful, and with the name 'Huàn', it was really attractive!

  "Shall we go in?" I nudged Vera beside me.

  "It's all for nothing if we don't make it, let's go!"

  "But... will Yīng Bīng tell on us?"

  "Just call it a coincidence, can't we go in and buy some flowers? Alright, let's go!" She said, pulling me into 'Huan'

  As soon as I entered the door, I heard a sweet voice "Welcome, what can I help you with?" It was indeed a lovely girl, and her service attitude was quite enthusiastic!

  "Whatever... let's just take a look." I said with a smile to her.

  "Feel free then, if you need anything just look for me." The lovely girl still has a smile all over her face!

  "Ah, thank you!"

  The flower shop wasn't very big, but there were a lot of people buying flowers. "How come I didn't see Yīng Bīng?" I nudged Wei'er beside me.

  "Xiao Yue, come quick and look! Isn't the blue fairy so pretty?! And look over here, wind chimes! So beautiful! Come quick!" I was pulled by Wei'er to look at this and that, some guests were giving us strange looks, I quietly reminded Wei'er many times, but she just got more and more into it.

  "What are you two doing here?" It was Yu Bing's familiar voice.

  Wei'er then composed herself, turned around and smiled: "We... are here to buy flowers."

  "Right, right... we're here to buy flowers." I hastily added.

  "Yīng Bīng, I didn't know you worked at this store! What a coincidence!" Wei Er is still in a daze.

  "Uh, did you buy the flowers you wanted?"

  "Not yet."

  "You guys take your time, I'm going to work." He said and turned around to leave.

  I followed along with Wei'er.

  "Yīng Bīng, your business is doing so well, the boss must be very capable. By the way, who is your boss?" Wei'er said while looking around.

  "The boss is gone, you didn't have the chance to meet him." Yinyin picked up the watering can and carefully watered those delicate flowers.

  "Really!" Veer said with some disappointment.

  "You two aren't here to buy flowers at all, are you?"

  "Ugh... this... " Why is Yu Bing always so smart? Occasionally pretending to be stupid would suit her better!

  "Hey, Zheng Yubing, you're occasionally pretending to be stupid, aren't you!" Ah, Wei'er, you've spoken out my mind!

  "Yīng Bīng, are you a friend of hers?" A woman's voice came from beside us. Both I and Wei'er turned around to see who this person was. She walked in front of us, and for some reason, I felt a sense of familiarity with her, even though it was our first meeting.

  "Yes, boss's wife, they are my friends." Yu Bing replied politely.

  "I've told you before, don't call me boss's wife anymore, just call me Aunt Yin, the two of you can also call me that." Lin Auntie said with a smile. She looked very pretty, probably in her thirties.

  "Yin Auntie, hello. We are Yu Bing's classmates and close friends. I'm Lin Wei Er, and this is Ou Yang Yue." Wei Er said, pointing at me.

  "Hehe, you're all so cute! Is this your first time?"

  "Uh-huh, for the first time." I nodded and said.

  "You are friends of Yu Bing, and it's your first time here, so you can take any flowers you like, consider them a gift from me as a welcome."

  "Boss... Auntie Yin, you're like this..."

  Yin Ice hadn't finished speaking, when Wei'er interrupted: "Aunt Yin, you're so nice! Then we won't be polite!" After saying that, she happily ran off to pick flowers. Yu Bing looked at Wei'er and shook her head.

  "Vier is really cute, eh! Little Yue, why don't you go pick one? Don't you like any of them? There are many varieties here!" Aunt Yin asked curiously.

  "She doesn't like flowers, she likes leaves, maple leaves!" Vera suddenly appeared out of nowhere and scared me.

  What she said is right, I don't know why, but I don't like flowers. Probably from when I was a kid, Ouyang left me a maple leaf and I thought it was really beautiful, so I just liked it that way. My room still has many of them collected!

  "Oh, I see! We don't have maple leaves here, so let me treat you to coffee instead! Yujing, come join us too!"

  "No need, Aunt Yin, it's already a lot of trouble for you, and I still have to work!" Yu Bing said with difficulty.

  "So I'm ordering you as your boss?"

  After finishing, Aunt Yin took the three of us to the back of the flower shop. It turned out that the front was a flower shop and the back was a coffee house. The fragrance of flowers combined with the aroma of coffee, which really felt comfortable. The seats here were all suspended from the ceiling by rattan, looking very elegant, and drinking coffee here felt very peaceful.

  I ordered a Caramel Macchiato, Yinyin and Weiwei had Cappuccino, the three of us chatted happily with Aunt Yin in the coffee house, so much so that we forgot about time.
