Chapter 89 New Home
Ouyang Luo kept staring at me, still with a look of wanting to say something but hesitating. What did he want to say after all?
"You... what did you want to say?" I finally couldn't help but ask out of curiosity.
"I..."
"Yu Yu, how's your packing going?" came Mom's voice from the doorway. "What are you two... doing?"
I took a glance at Ouyang Luo in front of me, and the two of us were so close that my face suddenly turned red. I immediately turned around and walked to the side, awkwardly smiling at Xu's mother by the door: "Hehe... uh... that... we..."
"You don't need to explain, I know!" said Mom Xu with a smile on her face.
Does she know what we're doing? No way, we haven't done anything at all!
Ouyang Luo also turned around, his expression seeming a bit awkward as well. "I'll leave first!" He said, walking towards the door. Mrs. Xu had been watching us all along, and for some reason I felt like she was... sneering?
After Ouyang Luo left, we moved out all the things that had been packed up. I think I can consider what Ouyang Luo said earlier - to move away the whole house. Because there are really a lot of things.
Before leaving the Ouyang's house, Yezi hugged me and cried for a while. The adults were somewhat sentimental. Mom and Mrs. Xu made an appointment to travel to many places to make up for the regret of not playing together for over a decade. And Dad was discussing business matters with them, everyone seemed to have endless topics to talk about.
The car door was closed, I pulled down the window and watched as Ouyang Dad, Xu Mom, Yezi, and Yang Zhenyu said goodbye to us. Such a sad scene, I'm going to cry again. Why didn't I see Ouyang leave?
The car sped forward, the view becoming increasingly blurred until their figures disappeared from my sight before I closed the window. Mom comforted me as I leaned on her shoulder and burst into tears!
Goodbye, Father Ouyang! Goodbye, Mother Xu! Goodbye, Yezi! Goodbye, Ouyang Luo!
More than half an hour later, the car stopped in front of the 'Heart Peace Manor' entrance. The door was quickly opened from outside and I got out of the car. The maid standing beside me said respectfully: "Welcome home, miss!" Feeling a bit unaccustomed, I smiled at her slightly.
I took a look at the European-style villa in front of me, where Viola and I had been before. I remembered that last time we crawled through the dog hole to interview Dad, now thinking about it feels so embarrassing.
"Yueyue, from now on, our family will never be apart again!" My dad was standing to my left, his hand on my shoulder. My mom was standing to my right, "Yes, never be apart again!" I looked at Dad, then at Mom, and felt so happy. "Yes." I nodded vigorously.
After finishing speaking, we three people walked towards our home together...
Although I've been here with Wei'er before, I'm not familiar with this place either. After living in the Ouyang family for over a decade, it's normal to feel out of place after suddenly leaving there and coming to an unfamiliar place. It'll take some time to get used to it, but eventually, I will!
However, the Qin family is really nice, they always arrange everything well. After I arrived at my own room, I found that all the things I brought from the Ouyang's house were already neatly arranged. I just had a chat with dad and mom downstairs for a while. Their efficiency is really high!
Looking at these familiar things, I am very satisfied. Lying on the soft and fluffy bed, looking at the sky blue ceiling, I suddenly thought of Ouyang Luo.
Why didn't he come out to see me off when I left? And what was that unfinished sentence of his, what did he want to say? Did Yezi really say he likes me? Is it true? Why do I feel a sweetness in my heart every time I think about this?
The next day, I was sent to school by the driver at home. As soon as I entered the school gate, I felt that all my classmates were staring at me, and some of them were discussing in a low voice. I immediately had a defensive mentality, remembering that the last two times I was looked at like this, something bad happened. Thinking of this, I lowered my head and quickly walked towards my classroom.
After entering the classroom, I walked straight to my seat. There was no one behind me, and I let out a sigh of relief. It seemed that I had been overthinking things!
"Good morning! Dongfang Yue!" I didn't know who patted my shoulder, and when I looked over, it was the girl sitting next to me in class. She was smiling at me with a big smile on her face. I also smiled back at her, "Good morning!"
Right, she just called me Dongfang Yue? How did she know? Just as I was wondering, she said: "Dongfang Yue, let's go to KTV this week, my treat!"
"What's good about going to KTV? Let's go camping in the suburbs instead!" Several female classmates walked over afterwards.
"There are wild beasts lurking in the outskirts, it's not safe, let's go on a trip with us instead!"
"What's going on? How did everyone become so enthusiastic all of a sudden? And how did they know I changed my surname? I didn't even say anything. 'How did you guys know I changed my surname?'"
"It was Lin Wei'er who said it!" everyone exclaimed in unison.
"Now everyone in school knows, I didn't expect you to be the daughter of Mr. Dongfang, our school's largest shareholder!" The girl who just spoke looked at me with envy.
I suddenly understood what was going on. That damn Lin Wei'er, she's really got a big mouth! It turns out that everyone was discussing me because of this earlier!
"Good morning, little Yu!" Vera's familiar voice appeared beside my ear. I looked over at her and she was walking over with a smile on her face to sit down next to me.
"Lin Wei'er, tell Dongfang Yue to come out and play with us!"
"Okay, okay!" Vera turned her head to look at me, I glared at her and she awkwardly turned her head to say to the classmate: "Sorry about that, I suddenly thought we don't have time, how about we go again?" With so many classmates inviting us, it's not good to refuse anyone, might as well just not go with any of them!
"What? What a pity!"
"Hehe, next time!" I smiled at them and said.
"Next time I'll go, next time I'll definitely go!" Vera said resolutely, looking like she really wanted to go.
Classmates all reluctantly returned to their seats, I turned around and irritably asked Wei'er: "Why does the whole school know about my business?"
"Uh... that, Xiaoyue, I just told a few classmates in our class, who knew the news would spread so fast and now the whole school knows!" Wei'er explained.
"Is that all?"
"Of course! Don't you think it's great? Everyone is being nice to you!" Vielle said in a soft voice.
I gave her a white eye, what rotten reason is this, won't it only increase my trouble? I was just about to scold her a couple of sentences, but the math teacher had already walked onto the stage, and Wei Er quickly slipped back into her own seat.
She's really lucky. I leaned on the table and looked at the empty seat next to me, "Yi Bing, are you okay?"
The dry math class made me feel like sleeping, but I kept reminding myself that I couldn't sleep. After barely holding on until the end of the class, I was just about to take a nice ten-minute nap with my head on the desk when I suddenly felt someone sitting next to me. I looked around in confusion and found it was that girl who had invited me to KTV earlier. Was she still not giving up?
