Chapter 187 — The Raging Blood!

  The Raging Blood!

The hounds weren't going to wait to be hunted. Without bothering to see if the PSD SAs would act, they grabbed weapons from their backs, but the PSD people were already on it. With the person holding Fox's DLM and NUA running to him, starting with Nauer's large pistol aiming at the hounds, a series of gunshots rang out.

Bang bang bang- bang bang bang bang bang bang- trrrrr rrrr r r rrrr r r rrr r rrrr rrr rrrrrr…!

The Scarlet Houndhood was one of the deadliest secret organizations worldwide, no matter which country, their hoog was a powerful one internationally. Thus, as they were clearly surpassed by the PSD’s NUAs, they didn’t yell around but orderly retreated after some died.

Fox lifted his left arm and crouched, letting the SA holding his NUA rush over and proportionate cover to him, with their NUA and several pivots thrown before them. The rest of PSD did the same to their front, severely weakening the pistols and DLMs of the Scarlet Houndhood.

As they retreated, they kept firing back, trying to force the PSD SAs away. Fox took this chance, with the SA covering him using their back as a shield, and put his NUA on, leaving his helmet out.

“…” When he looked back at the company, he saw Nauer still with his large pistol aimed at the fleeing enemy. Nauer slowly lowered it, letting Fox see the Captain’s face as he took his helmet off. Fox saw the look in Nauer’s eyes and silently grabbed his DLM, with Teon taking her helmet off beside Nauer.

“Thanks for earlier,” Nauer commented, as simple as it could be. Some SAs looked at this while their enemy, the Scarlet Houndhood, fled farther away after their silent peace was fully broken.

Fox nodded and said no more, putting his helmet on with Nala’s Red echelon running to his back. Then, everyone heard his voice in their helmet channel, before watching him stomp forth. “It’s time for PSD to make the next step. Everything stays the same. Cryobag his body and follow me to hunt the hounds…”

“… … …” The SAs were silent, but only for a second. As Nala looked back at them, then rushed forth with the NUA’s raw power and her entire echelon following her, they replied as their legs moved. “Lye!”

The PSD SAs stomped the ground, kicking it a few centimeters lower. Their bodies weren’t just running forwards, but jumping onto trees, through bushes, and dashing into the air. With the occasional few jumping high in the air.

The SAs rushed to where the enemy fled, which wasn’t too far thanks to the raw empowerment from the NUAs. Even when running, once they caught the hounds, the PSD began firing at their backs. This was the first encounter between hoog secret organizations after a long time.

It wasn’t like with the TFS’s bout, where there was a conflict of ‘interests’ before facing off. This was the Scarlet Houndhood, the enemy.

Bang, bang, bang… trrrr rrrrrr rrrr rrrr!

The PSD SAs entered an abandoned town, where multiple buildings surrounded everywhere, but they continued chasing the hounds. While they used bions to protect their backs, and others to attack back without halting, the PSD was too aggressive and accurate, never letting the enemy’s backs leave their sights again.

When they came to a plaza, and the enemy suddenly went to the sides, Fox stopped before a fountain. The place was enormous, which should’ve shown the town was well-populated, but it didn’t seem the case, with everything was empty.

Was this a trap? Of course. Did it matter? It never did.

Just as Fox stopped and crouched a few tens of meters before the fountain, dry and with its artistic of tubes and pipe-like structures, spiraling or soaring into the air, the PSD positioned themselves behind him. They were in formation, between, within, behind, and atop buildings. Not too close, not too far, and with every route for any situation worked up before taking it.

Silence prevailed, with everyone’s senses on guard. When a full minute went by, a voice sounded from some of the buildings on the other half of the town, still nearby.

“Piya. Sanctum. District.” A hound uniformed man walked out of the left, but Fox only narrowed his eyes a bit, his ears also tingling a little. He stepped a bit backwards, with the man carrying on, “It’s been some time, but it seems your honorable self has never lost your… ‘touch’.”

A multitude of hounds showed atop the walls and everywhere else, like them, in the other side of the town. They had all positions readied just as much as the PSD did. Fox stopped backtracking after a few more meters, to which the man seemed to notice, mocking. “Are you sure that is enough? Why not a little more back? Hmph.”

“Since when did hounds become so talkative? Their reputation doesn’t precede them.” Nala looked at this and voiced, her words leaving a void of emptiness in the atmosphere.

“You’ve lost your manners, though. I remember hearing a lot about Lymoca’s ‘chosen ones’ treating even our kind be-” The man talked and talked, but agreeing with his woman’s words, Fox aimed at the man’s throat and shot with his DLM. Bang!

“!” The man dodged, but half a second later, every PSD SA shot at the hounds, mercilessly aiming to kill. The hounds only had a third of their number wearing medium NUAs. No one had low NUAs, not wanting to become a slow pi?ata.

As soon as the PSD initiated, the hounds fired back a little but stopped, finding it too obvious a difference to bear. They hid behind the houses, trying to survive rather than fight back, with all sorts of bions they threw to buy any screen to react forced to detonate in the air.

The entire town became shrouded in the heavy sound of DLMs barraging one side from another. But just as the PSD was starting to dismantle houses and move a little for better angles, movement from the right, starting from outside the town, neared the PSD SAs.

“Green!” Fox commanded, making a movement with his hand, which his visor recorded and placed it before Nauer’s eyes for a second, and other Captains present in his Green echelon.

“Follow Grefang!” A Captain in Nauer’s echelon shouted before separating from the hound-hunting company. 60+ agents moved to the right, forming a flank. But Fox then heard the incoming new party separating a small force to the back, intending to surround them.

“TFS!” A Green echelon’s Captain shouted. The PSD SAs were taken aback, but only for a couple of moments. The other 3 echelons continued firing at the hounds until they were forced to react by people wearing shields and electric batons, pushing each other away.

The exchange wasn’t brutal, and when Fox stopped to turn around, leaving the front to keep the hounds in check, a ‘familiar’ face appeared before him, wearing a medium NUA. As a matter of fact, everyone from the Tri Fortress Shield wore one. And they were at least 300 agents.

A white, middle-aged man with shiny black eyes and elegant, exotic jet-black hair. He was one of the people to fight Nala alone alongside a young woman. He came rushing to Fox, wearing a furious expression, and one of indignation.

“Fox!” He lunged at Fox, intending to topple him down, but it wasn’t threatening, only forceful. Fox lowered his presence and dashed to the side, kicking the ground with his right leg. The man stopped midair, feet stabbing towards the ground, and grabbed both his TFS iconic tools.

As he swung them, however, Fox had already folded his right arm towards his neck and punched with his left. He stopped, not wanting his tools breaking apart. Not by the NUA, but Fox’s arm.

“…” - “…” Staring at each other, Fox stood up a little, retracting his left arm as the man relaxed his posture. Around them, their SAs fought each other, but the TFS was clearly trying to restrain the PSD. Fox remained silent, making the man speak up at last. “I am Paladin Clox. Fox, this isn’t the moment to see our hoogs’ unfinished matters, don’t you think?”

“State your fucking reasoning to stop us. Was one beating not enough?” Fox furrowed his brows, becoming fierce. Clox gulped, looking at Fox’s eyes before frowning in return. “This is a war for Lymoca, but you are facing the hounds with hostility. Even if you don’t work toge-”

Just before the man’s words could continue, from the lower left flank, which Fox snapped his head to look at, another group arrived… This one was larger, and all equipped with NUAs.

“Enemy attack!” - “Turn this way!” - “Agh! These fuckers…” - “Hey, with me!”

The PSD were surprised. This other group, which Clox frowned when he saw, attacked full-on melee with bions protecting them from PSD’s gunfire. Once they were positioned to the corner of the PSD’s formation and could freely fire with no obstacles in between, they did.

But PSD, besides being surprised at first, became enraged. They were just going after their enemy, the SH, but then, the TFS appeared. And just as they were coming to an understanding and slowing down, another enemy appeared, firing and threatening their lives had they not been alert. How could they not become infuriated?

Trrrr rrrrr rrrrr rrrr rrrr rrrr rrrrrr rrrr rrrr! Bang bang bang- boom, bang bang bang!

The tech echelon Captain mobilized his people, striking the enemy at the back. The PSD rapidly responded, with TFS backing away from that flank, but the Scarlet Houndhood attacked the front left flank at that moment, while the right flank was still against the TFS who were realizing something else was brewing.

The tale has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.

‘Those…’ Fox looked around at the new enemy without desperation, when he lowered his eyebrows, thinking. At this time, several meters away, Paladin Clox voiced, sounding mildly concerned. “Those are from the Facilitate Epidemic… a hoog from ANS!”

“Grrr…!” Fox cocked his head and swung it in the air to the rear. “No holding back! You’ve heard it, you know it, too. Kill these trespassers!”

“Lye!!” There was a sonorous roar right there, expanding all the way to the Facilitate Epidemic agents and the SH SAs attacking the front left flank.

“And don’t forget the dogshit, too.” Fox voiced lowly, turning to the left, with PSD SAs already fighting to kill on every flank on the left. Those hounds who were too close met the Green Bloods available, who forced them back time and again, constantly barraged by individual Red Bloods.

“Wait!” Clox lunged at Fox. This time, Fox didn’t dodge, letting Clox hit his lower back with his shoulder. But instead of being tackled down, Fox rolled forward before Clox fell, making Clox’s eyes widen in shock. Fox grabbed him with his right hand, forming a fist with his left, and…

Plank! Clox’s abdomen segment became vulnerable and broke apart at once, but Fox’s fist didn’t penetrate fully. Yet, the breath in it and his left arm’s Mintip sent a bit of force to the surroundings around the gap, making Clox cough violently, whose abdomen was hit before being thrown off.

Fox rapidly stood up and pushed his knee on Clox’s neck, forcing him to look at Fox. Currently, the PSD fought 3 hoog secret organizations, with only 1 of them fighting ‘weakly’, while the other 2 were kill or be killed.

Even then, the PSD SAs dominated the battlefield, with the SH, which has lost already a hundred, losing more and more than Facilitate Epidemic. Furthermore, they were beating TFS whose injured were brought back by their comrades before entangling half the PSD SAs in the right flank, grappling them to hold them back.

“I don’t like talking!” Fox pointed his fingertips at Clox, who didn’t know better. He frowned but remained stubborn, not ordering his TFS SAs to pull back. Fox slightly parted his lips. They were barely visible, but it felt liberating. His body went ultra, but just as he had grown impatient…

BOOOOOM! The fountain exploded, rapidly shooting debris off, hitting several PSD who were tumbled sideways, to the front, or back. Right after, people rushed out of the explosion’s hole in the ground, with just as many SH and FE jumping from there.

These 2 hoogs, who were seeking the PSD SAs’ lives, were 3 times larger than PSD. Scarlet Houndhood first showed only a third with NUAs, but after they reappeared, with even more people once the FE helped, their tripled numbers all wore NUAs except for the initial hounds.

Facilitate Epidemic wore all medium NUAs, while the new enemy from underneath, finally coming out, seemingly also tripling PSD’s numbers, had all medium NUAs.

Clox retreated, with Fox becoming distracted by the movement of several figures coming to him. One was a couple he had seen before, from the people who came from underneath. The other was from a building where the SH surrounded to attack PSD. These were a trio of female-shaped bodies wearing similar uniform as every other hound in their medium NUAs.

If only, the trio from SH had their uniforms ‘dripping’ with viscous blood within their uniform, slowly streaming within. The latter jumped from the building, breaking its wall together, while the former dashed towards him with blade bions out and extended backwards, ready to engage.

Fox stood up, with Clox retreating, as did their people, who saw the second surprise and became startled. The PSD SAs were still fighting some TFS SAs, with the new enemy taking all the central front flank for themselves, semi-surrounding Fox and his SA company.

Pum- pank! Pleck- clank, bang bang! Swish- clank…! Fox was assailed. The trio on his left kicked down towards him, which he effortlessly blocked with his left arm, but a woman, ebony, with picked-up brown hair and eyes, attacked him. She was tall, with a mole above the left corner of her mouth. This was Minita, who once met with Fox in that ‘meeting’ of influential people.

She swung her blade down, striking Fox’s right arm as the trio on his left jumped off his left arm and held multiple thin blades between the base of their fingers. Fox swung his right hand to grab Minita’s blade, but her partner beside her, just a little slower, Joshua, aimed with a large pistol at his head. Fox dodged, letting go of the opportunity, and reflected each thin blade with his left arm.

The trio somersaulted backwards after throwing the knives, failing to hit anything else, but at least the arm would become vulnerable. They landed on the ground, gently tapping it to impulse themselves forwards, just as Fox kneed Joshua, who smiled while taking it to the stomach, and failed to punch Minita with his right hand.

The trio was exquisitely synchronized. One took a medium pistol out and shot Fox from the left, at his head, shoulder, ribs, and hip. Another took out electric bions to interfere with the NUA in the shape of a disk with what seemed like a sucker, and the last one wore an extra bion full-shoulder arm around the NUA. She struck Fox after the electricity, expecting to see the Fox turn stiff.

But Fox wasn’t stiff. With a quick turn, he grabbed the female agent with his right hand, forming a claw. Then, he pulled, hitting with his left elbow on her chin, turning her head limp for a moment.

Bang! A part of Fox’s chest became vulnerable, with the medium pistol’s next gunshot grazing it in the last moment after Fox twisted his waist. He threw the semi unconscious agent in his right hand off, slamming her with his left forearm before charging at the other who threw the bions.

Her head stiffened for a fraction of a second before turning, but Fox’s left wrist aimed at her nape, shooting a section of a comet’s blade. This, with the NUA’s empowerment, and his left arm’s sheer raw force, the comet’s tip barely penetrated the NUA and stabbed the agent, making her fall on the ground, limp

The remaining SH agent aimed at Fox, with the latter looking at the former with the stare of bloodthirst. Just then, he swung his left arm backwards. Minita, who was bringing a smaller but more powerful explosive bion, with electric and flaming properties, becoming shocked.

The bion in her hands exploded, making her squirm for less than a second in her NUA, but it was enough for Fox, who barred her with his left feet, tumbling her forwards. He caught her with his right hand and turned around, throwing his body into a rolling motion while using her back to cover the shots Joshua aimed and fired at him.

The remaining SH female agent aimed at him, firing away. But just like before, he stopped her bullets with his left arm, whose segments had finally turned vulnerable, and holes were formed. However, even with the NUA penetrated, clanking sounds still rang.

“…” The agent lifted her pistol’s muzzle, slowly tilting her head in wonderment, baffled. Meanwhile, Joshua stopped firing, but still aimed at Fox, with Minita sobering up to strike him backwards. Unfortunately for her, Fox kicked her limbs before they could swing back at him.

Then, he stood up and rushed to Joshua, who dashed to the side, but as he did, Fox stopped, threw Minita to his right, and turned while in the air before full-out palming Minita’s chest. With blood coming out of her nostrils, a wide-eyed Minita was thrown to the SH agent, who was baffled still.

With both falling backwards, their NUAs suffering friction with the release of twirls of electricity around their NUAs and metal colliding with metal sounds, Fox dashed to Joshua with his body already low. Clox watched this and shrunk his already amazed pupils as Fox grabbed the ground and threw his body forth with his left arm!

A long cone was left behind where Fox had thrown himself low to the ground, from his left hand, not his feet.

Joshua widened his eyes like he has never had the chance to before. Before he knew it, his chest was grabbed, and like melting butter, it was cut through with ease by Fox’s fingers, which became severely damaged. Enduring harsh treatment from both sides, the finger segments deteriorated immediately. Some of Fox’s ultra nails peeked from tiny holes, which Joshua could see before his body was shot backwards in his NUA.

Fox pushed his left arm forth, but he held the armor still, making Joshua’s body slam within the NUA. Immediately after, with Joshua’s brains dizzy and throbbing in his head, his eyes unfocused, Fox punched his visor, with blood visibly shooting out of it.

  Swiiip- clank- paaang!

Fox leaned his body to the right and lifted his left leg, folding it to backwards kick the nooks of Joshua’s legs. With Joshua’s body facing upwards, Fox slammed it downwards with his palm at the stomach, but once again, he hooked into it, breaking the armor apart.

Joshua’s nostrils spouted blood in spirals, once again with his insides throbbing and shell-shocked, with only his breath acting to protect them. His limbs hung downward, with Minita and the only conscious SH agent watching with silent terror.

Fox pulled where he held the stomach armor from and looked down at the ground, not even gazing into Joshua’s eyes peering at his. Then, with his left hand leaving the broken holes in the NUA, he folded his arm further, and just as the NUA remained in the air by inertia, he punched down. A full-blown, empowered left punch.

  Fwip- SLAMMM!

“!!” The entire battlefield turned silent, with 2 meters of dirt and grass lifting from the ground as Joshua’s NUA broke into cracks from everywhere. Everyone watched towards Fox, with the PSD rapidly returning to kill the enemy, taking advantage of the distraction before every side fought all-out again.

Fox just stood there, mostly unharmed, but his body heaved up and down with each breath, slightly, but still. He looked towards Clox, as he and his TFS SAs were no longer fighting the PSD, outside the flank, letting the other 2 echelons help the rest of PSD fighting for their lives.

Even with these 2 hoogs from ANS and SH, each hoog having once tripled the PSD’s numbers, all wearing medium NUAs, Piya Sanctum District was in a stalemate against them!

Clox looked around. Everywhere he looked were PSD SAs fighting it out more than 1 vs 2 at the same time, facing the other side, whichever that was, without fear. A real crazy thing was, despite the many PSD injured, it was only the others who were constantly dying.

Nala fought over 15 enemies, using a long pole with her comet constantly blocking and killing enemy attacks and their owners. Her hands had changed numerous pistols throughout the intense melee combat.

Her team revolved around her, just forcing the others who wanted to target them and guarding the gap that allowed other PSD SAs to fight with more ease to be breached. Colmillo constantly moved around the battlefield, bringing opportune bions to the PSD agents when they needed them, with Miros working with other teams of firsters against an equal number of enemies.

Teon was alone beside Nauer’s team, as they tried to reach her. Even as she fidgeted her feet and kicked and bashed every shin, limb, groin, and fired at them with any pistol she could find, her injuries were minor, albeit many. Meanwhile, Nauer raged on to rescue her.

Teon was just crazily bashing someone’s shin, who hit her on her left’s vulnerable segment, harming her ribs, when it became vulnerable and the enemy tried to lift their leg. When it happened, like a starved wolf, Teon kicked with but all of her strength towards the enemy’s stomach, cracking it open before gracefully forcing her body up with a hook of her other leg’s foot on the enemy’s shoulder.

Then, she aimed her pistol into the cracked open hole and fired until she was struck against the ground again.

“CLOX!” Fox raged on, looking at the Paladin, who stared at Fox with widened eyelids… His body had grown paralyzed!

“How… you ‘declared’ my hounds’ hunt before… and you’re… just how?” Just as Fox turned to Clox, the SH agent worded, as low as a whisper, but clearly audible among special agents.

“Bloody hounds have no right to question me.” Fox stepped firmly and glanced at the SH agent before staring at Clox. “SH is cooperating with traitors to deal with matters of Lymoca… Why are you doing nothing still!?”

Fox barked. Then, responding to the SH agent, the Scarlet Houndhood, and the other ANS hoogs, as well as notifying his PSD, Fox demanded. “If you won’t help, piss off, you’re useless! But do so and wait for me to hunt you after these. I will declare you to be Lymoca’s enemy… Because I am the Raging Blood!”
