  “Well, if anyone’s going to know it’d be merfolk, Sam, and I trust her. It turned out fine, so why not?”

  “Fair enough. What can you do in the race tomorrow? Nervous about starting from the front?”

  “I don’t want to try to predict anything for tomorrow, Sam. Wet races are crazy, I just hope I can bring Soot safely home and get some good points in.”

  “You’re chasing Niki and Feran in the championship, they’re starting seventh and eighth, this could be a good opportunity for you to catch up a few points.”

  “It could, Sam, it really could but I don’t think they’ll finish that low, they’re both incredibly competitive and in great shape.”

  “And it all depends on the weather, of course. Thanks for speaking with us, Phoebe, and best of luck in the race tomorrow.”
