Chapter 61: Sōichirō Yumiko Meets with the Parents
The following days, Yafeng stayed at Soichiro's place. On Saturday, he returned to Kanagawa with Soichiro and Yumiko because they finally decided to meet their parents!
Yumiko suddenly chickened out when they arrived at the Sanada's front door.
"Sojiro, let's come again next time, okay?" Yumiko said, shrinking back.
"Yumiko, sis, we're already here so don't be nervous, everyone in our household is nice, and isn't there also Kouichirou-nii-san? Plus I'll help you too." Masayuki said, tightly grasping Yumiko's hand.
"Don't worry, I'm here." Soichiro comforted Yumiko.
"But......" Yumiko was still tense.
"There's no 'but', we must meet today," said Sōichirō strongly, "Don't worry, Yaka is the one Grandfather spoils the most, whatever she says goes, so you don't have to worry."
"Yes, don't worry, Yumi-neechan, you have to believe me."
Yahiko finished speaking and didn't care about Yoshiko's reaction, directly pulling her in by force.
Masayuki and Sōichirō directly took Yumiko to the Japanese-style room.
"Grandpa, uncle, auntie, we're back!" Yafeng exclaimed excitedly as soon as he entered the door.
"Welcome back! Is this the child of the Niiya family?"
Sanada Kazuko affectionately patted Yasukaze's head and then looked at Yumiko with a loving gaze.
"Hehe, yes indeed! This is Sōichirō's girlfriend, Yumiko-chan!" said Masayuki as he gave Yumiko a little push forward.
"Grandfather, uncle, aunt, hello. I'm Yumi Koishi, Soichiro's girlfriend."
Sōichirō also took a step forward and stood beside Yumiko, holding her hand. "Grandfather, Father, Mother, this is my girlfriend."
"Hehe, okay, sit down first." Makoto Wakabayashi happily replied.
Sanada Munenobu also smiled and nodded, apparently satisfied with this daughter-in-law. Sanada's old man still had a serious look on his face, but Gafū saw that he was happy.
"Grandpa, Yumi-neechan and Soichiro-niichan are a good match, aren't they?" Akane asked, clinging to Old Man Shinoda's arm.
Originally still pretending to be profound, Old Master Shinoda was ruined by Yafeng's shake and revealed a helpless smile, saying: "You little girl almost shook your grandfather's old bones apart."
"Who made Grandpa dishonest, anyway? He's clearly delighted inside but putting on a gloomy face to scare Yumi-chan. If he scares her away, Sōichirō-niichan will end up lonely for the rest of his life."
"You little devil." Mr. Tiantian poked Yafeng's head with a helpless tone, his voice full of thick affection.
Seeing the interaction between Shinoda and Yafeng, the Shinoda family members all smiled but didn't speak, and Yumiko also relaxed a bit.
Sanada's expression softened and Sanada Muneshige asked: "Yumiko and Soichiro have known each other for many years, right?"
"Yes, it's been eight or nine years," Yumi replied.
"Listen, Makoto Ichiyanagi said you and Hidetaka are good friends, right?" asked Azusa Sanada.
"Yes, we have been good friends since childhood."
"You should know about Koizumi and Soichiro then?"
"Yes."
"So I heard from Sōichirō that Sasuke really likes you."
"Yes, I like Sasuke."
"If you and Sōichirō get married later, will Sasuke live with you or stay in the main house?" asked Mr. Sanada.
Yumi was taken aback and then said: "I will respect Sosuke's opinion, if he is willing to be with us, then let him be with us, if he wants to be at Honke, then let him be at Honke."
Both Shinobu and Wakako Tadokoro were satisfied with Yumiko's answer, but only old man Tadokoro remained unmoved. Under his piercing gaze, Yumiko began to sweat from her palms, while Soichiro increased the strength of his grip on her hand to give her courage.
"Grandpa, if you have any questions, just ask. Staring at someone for too long will make them feel embarrassed." Yafeng broke the silence in a timely manner.
"Let's have lunch at home today. Sasaki and Genjiro will be back soon, so get ready." With that, the old man left.
"Yes."
The Sanada old couple felt much more at ease once they left.
"Shouichirou, Masakazu, you two escort Yumiko back home." Shinda Sōshin gave the order.
"Yes."
Masumi happily accepted the task and then dragged Yumiko and Sōichirō out.
Yajun stopped at the courtyard and said, "Well, you two have a peaceful life, I'm going back to my room."
"Go ahead, little lazy bug."
"See you later, Yumiko nee-chan." With that said, she took off in a flash.
After Yafuu left, Yoshiko looked at Souichirou and said: "Yafuu is too cute, no wonder Shinoda-san dotes on her so much."
"Yes, she is the best way to deal with Grandpa. Every time she pouts, Grandpa will surrender. You're very capable, Yafeng likes you a lot. From now on, you can do whatever you want in this house."
"You! I was really nervous just now, fortunately there's Yafeng."
"Hehe," Sōichirō hugged Yumiko and said, "Don't worry, my parents like you a lot, and Grandpa does too. He's just used to having a stern face."
"Hmm, Sōichirō, I'm so glad you're here." Yumiko said and tightly hugged Sōichirō.
When it was time to eat lunch, Toda and Sosuke both returned. As soon as Sosuke saw Yumiko, he threw himself into her arms. The intimate appearance made Masayuki feel jealous for a while.
Kanaya's face turned sour as she ate her vinegar-flavored dish, and Tiana gently patted her head.
"Genichiro-nii, Sasuke has Yumiko-neechan now and doesn't need me anymore." Akakaze fake-cried as she threw herself into Sanada's arms.
Everyone in the Sanada household couldn't help but laugh at Akane's silly behavior. Sazae immediately crawled out of Yumiko's arms and ran to Akane's side, grabbing her hem and saying "Auntie, Sazae doesn't dislike you."
"Sasuke doesn't want me anymore." Yagura said with a deliberate tone while still buried in Sanada's chest.
"There is no nothing," Sasuke hastily explained.
Seeing his own beloved son being played around by Yafeng, Sozoro sighed helplessly and pulled over Sosuke saying: "Auntie is not angry with you, she's just teasing you."
"But why is auntie still hiding in uncle's arms? Is auntie feeling shy too?"
Upon hearing Sosuke's childish words, Soichiro suppressed his smile and said: "Yes, indeed, Sosuke is very clever."
Everyone else couldn't help but laugh, and even Sanada's mouth corners curled up a little.
"You bully me."
Yahiko glared at Sanosuke and Saito, but only ended up increasing their amusement. She pouted and walked over to old man Hattori, saying pitifully: "Grandpa, Sano-san is bullying me."
Sanada's eyes were also full of smiles, but since Yafeng had come to him for comfort, he naturally had to put on a show. So, he deliberately put on a stern face and said to Souichirou and Sasaki: "You can't bully Yafeng."
"Great grandfather, it was auntie who bullied me first." Sasuke's response was so straightforward.
"Sanada Sasuke, you're sleeping alone tonight." Yakaze threatened.
"Ah," Sasuke swallowed his saliva, although teasing his aunt was fun, but when she got angry, it was even more terrifying than his grandfather and uncle, and if he didn't sleep with her, he would definitely not be able to sleep. So, after weighing the pros and cons, Sasuke ran to Yafeng's side with a flattering expression, hugging her arm and saying: "I'm wrong, aunt is the best, don't let Sasuke sleep alone, okay?"
Yahiko enjoyed Sasuke's coquettish behavior, "Alright, Sasuke is so well-behaved, I'll give you something delicious later."
"Thank you, Auntie."
The Sanada family was delighted to watch the commotion, and Yumiko also felt a lot more at ease after this ruckus. Everyone had a very enjoyable lunch afterwards.
