  No changes, huh?

Looking at his own character tempte, Alex sighed silently. As the saying goes, the more skills, the better, but if they couldn’t be upgraded, they were just numbers on a screen. The good news was that the first batch of spirit crystals would be arriving next month, which meant he would finally have enough dimensional points to enhance his skills.

  However…

“You’ve really decided, Ikaros? You want to stay in the main world?”

Retracting his gaze, Alex turned to the petite angel standing before him. He had initially pnned to bring Ikaros along to the next world, but to his surprise, she had voluntarily requested to stay behind this time.

  “Yes, Master.”

Hearing his question, Ikaros nodded firmly.

“Master’s endeavors in the main world have only just begun. Someone needs to stay behind and oversee things. I can’t rest easy leaving everything to Miss Culia and Miss Nanalie alone…”

  “Hmm…”

Hearing this, Alex fell into deep thought.

To be honest, it wasn’t just Ikaros who was worried—he was as well. While Culia was capable, she was still too young. As for Nanalie… well, she wasn’t exactly someone he could rely on for major responsibilities.

Back when he had no home and wandered freely, he could go wherever he wanted without a second thought. But things were different now. Spirit crystals were essential to him. While Culia’s presence, combined with the support from the Alchemist Association, ensured that things would likely remain stable, there was always the risk of unforeseen troubles. If something went wrong while they were away, they’d return to an entirely different situation.

To be on the safe side, having Ikaros stay behind was indeed a solid choice.

Of course, this also got Alex thinking—perhaps he should acquire a few more Summoning Stones. If he could summon beings as capable as Ikaros, it would lighten her workload significantly. After all, he didn’t want his little angel to shoulder everything alone.

"But… are you sure you’ll be fine here alone?"

Even though Alex had full confidence in Ikaros’ abilities, he couldn’t help but ask.

  "Please rest assured, Master."

Facing Alex’s concern, Ikaros straightened her posture and nodded firmly.

"My alchemy has already reached the level where I can craft Tier 3 magical equipment. Given a bit more time, using our current alchemical resources, I should be able to attain the combat strength of a Tier 4 Mage—at the very least, self-defense won’t be an issue. Also, Master, don’t forget that my radar surveilnce is always active. If anyone tries to do anything against us, I’ll detect it immediately."

  "That’s true…"

Hearing Ikaros’ response, Alex nodded. Just as she said, her radar detection system was extremely powerful. In fact, even now, she was scanning the entire town and its surroundings, including the city of Kha, 24 hours a day without interruption. The reason Alex had been able to assassinate his targets so successfully before was rgely thanks to Ikaros’ radar scans and detection capabilities.

Moreover, since Ikaros didn’t need to sleep, sneaking up on her was practically impossible—unless it was someone like Connie who dared to act openly in broad daylight. Otherwise, any shady tricks under the cover of night would never escape her detection.

"Here, I’ll leave you with some magic scrolls. Stay safe. If the opponent is too strong, retreat first. Don’t force a fight—your safety comes first. If anything happens, wait until I return to settle the score."

As he spoke, Alex handed several magic scrolls to Ikaros. Most of them were defensive in nature, but there were also some from the conjuration and elemental schools. These were scrolls he had crafted in his spare time—after all, as a mage, creating scrolls was an essential skill. He rarely needed them himself, but they were always good to have just in case.

Now, giving them to Ikaros seemed like the best use for them.

"Then, I’ll leave things in your hands."

Alex wasn’t worried that Culia and Nanalie would turn against him or Ikaros. What concerned him was that they might be maniputed by others. Especially now, with the alchemy workshop still registered under Nanalie’s name, even though Culia was overseeing things, mistakes could still happen. Having Ikaros as an extra safeguard gave Alex greater peace of mind.

"Please don’t worry, Master. I’ll be fine. Besides, I have him here to keep me company."

As she spoke, Ikaros raised her hand, and right on cue, a small bck cat emerged from her embrace, waving its tiny paw at Alex while letting out a few soft meows, almost as if it were greeting him.

Seeing the adorable little creature, Alex couldn’t help but crouch down, stroking its tiny head and squeezing its soft, squishy paw pads.

The cat pyfully batted at his fingers before extending its tiny pink tongue to lick his palm… Ah, why were cats such adorable creatures? With such a cute little companion, who even needed world-hopping adventures? Maybe he should just stay here and enjoy petting cats for a lifetime!

"Alright then, I’m entrusting Ikaros to you."

  "Meow…"

Alex wasn’t sure if it was just his imagination, but after he spoke, the little cat blinked at him, as if it actually understood his words.

Smiling slightly, Alex reluctantly let go of the cat and straightened up, his gaze once again falling on Ikaros.

  "Alright, I’m off."

  "Take care, Master."

Hearing Ikaros’ gentle words, Alex smiled back. Taking one st look at his little angel, he opened the Map of Myriad Dimensions.

In an instant, radiant particles of light surrounded his body, converging into a shimmering portal that engulfed him completely.

With a final fsh of light, Alex’s figure vanished from the earth.
