The 16th Section of the Left Ear (16)
Section 16: Left Ear (16) "Hey." I stretched out my palm and slapped it in the air, looking stupid to death.
He beckoned to me with his finger in the morning, and I was like a glass ball that burst out of a child's hand, rushing into his arms in an instant. Holding him tight, I never wanted to let go again, no matter if the sky collapsed or the earth cracked, no matter if the sky collapsed and the earth cracked.
"Bara." Zhang Yang said in my ear, "I found out, I really have fallen in love with you a bit."
I closed my eyes and didn't answer him.
I proudly thought in my heart: Of course, of course.
"I want to have a good talk with you," Zhang Yang said, "I'm just troubled by having no place."
"Come with me!" I wriggled free from his arms, grabbed his hand and we jogged forward. After a short while, he stopped and asked me, "Hey, where are you taking me?"
"Shh!" I turned around and raised a finger to my lips, making a silencing gesture towards him. He wrapped his arms around my waist and started kissing me passionately.
"Bah lah, bah lah." He said, "I've fallen in love with you, I won't allow you to be with anyone else now, absolutely not allowed!"
"Okay okay." I patted his back like a kindergarten kid, "I won't be with anyone else again, I promise."
"Okay." He nodded and asked me, "Where do you want to go?"
"Come on, I'll take you to a great place." I held his hand and ran forward, halfway through, he let go, turned around and grasped mine, mischievously smiling and saying: "This way I'm more used to it."
"Was it you who took the initiative to hold the girl's hand?"
"No, I never take the initiative." He replied coolly.
Under the moonlight of winter, his expression made me unable to let go, and my heart was warm and turbulent. We held hands like this and came to that abandoned uninhabited house on the outskirts where I often went.
I climbed up to the rooftop with ease, and Zhang Yang followed closely behind me. He asked me in a somewhat strange tone: "How did you find this place? I never knew there was such a spot."
"This used to be a workshop, but it's been abandoned for a long time. The house has been empty ever since. There's nothing inside. When I'm feeling down, I like to come here and sit alone on the rooftop."
"How about you now, are you feeling better?" Zhang Yang asked me, while reaching out to gently brush aside my long hair that was blocking my eyes.
I loosened my disheveled hair in front of him, rearranged it with my hands and tied it up again.
He stared at me with wide eyes as I chewed on a rubber band to tie up my hair, and I freed one hand to hit him, saying: "What are you looking at!"
He smiled crookedly and sat down on the roof, gazing out at the distant sky.
I took out my phone to take a look, and the silent phone had ten unconnected calls, all from Xu Yi. There was also a text message: "Where did you go? I want to see you right away. Come quickly, okay?"
I didn't care, so I turned off the machine and sat down beside Zhang Yang: "Speak up, what do you want to talk to me about?"
"Do you think I'm a bad person?" he asked straightforwardly.
"It's close," I said, "it's almost catching up with me."
"I don't think you're bad," he said. "I really didn't expect that today would be your first time."
"Ah," I said, "it's better not to mention this kind of thing, let's just drop it."
"Do you regret it?" he asked me.
"Of course not." I said with a smile.
"Why?" He turned his head to look at me, his eyes piercing.
"I obediently replied: 'I love you, Zhang Yang. You're so tempting to me. From the moment I first saw you, I fell in love with you.'"
"You're different from others," Zhang Yang said, "To be honest, I just wanted to use you at first."
"I'm willing to be used by you."
"This thing might be your downfall."
"Even if you harm me to death, I will still smile all the way to the underworld."
"Bara, I have a lot to say to you, you're the first girl that makes me want to pour out my heart."
"Then let's talk." I leaned in close to him, feeling his body heat. I stretched out a finger and stroked his face back and forth. He took my hand down and placed it on his chest. I seemed to feel his heartbeat, strong and unceasing, pounding just for me. As I felt incredibly happy, Zhang Yang said to me: "Actually, from the moment I was born, I've been an unhappy child."
"Why?" I asked softly.
"When I was two years old, my mother abandoned me and my father to marry another man."
"What's the big deal?" I consoled him, "My parents abandoned me together and went abroad."
"I'd rather she went abroad, to a place where I couldn't see or feel her, but you know what? She stayed right here and gave her love to someone else. She can hate my father, I don't get it, why would she also hate the child born from her own belly? Tell me, is there such a mother in this world?"
