Chapter 48

implicate “Tartarus-Gator” (Aka rock drakes) into the fight, having the dragons drop them off like bombs and have Rev try to fight them and explain that he saw something abut them in Loka’s notes.

Like meteors from the sky, large chunks of dark reddish tones are dropped on and around Rev. Rev dodges out of the way and looks at the sky, seeing a dragon flying above. They meet eyes and the dragon immediately flies off at top speed, letting out an ear piercing cry.

  “RRRWWWAAAAAAAAHHHHH!” the dragon cries out.

Rev scuffs and as he does the boulders begin to move and untangled themself. Their large four red eyes staring directly at Rev through all the trees that separate them. The ground rumbles. Rev hurriedly cast a wind blast from at his feet. This causes Rev to dodge the mighty jaws of this beast. Rev lands on a tree branch above. More of the stony beast shows up and eats the base of the tree in one chump it’s gone. Rev is forced to flee. “I’ve seen that beast somewhere before…Tartarus-Gator. It was in Loka’s notes, their skin is that of harden stone and source metal. Their jaw is powerful enough to shatter even dragon scale.”

(insert drake picture here if i still want too)

Rev remembers. He continues to jump from tree to tree and try to remember as much as he can. As does another Tartarus-Gator show up. Rev tries to send a fire blast at them, but it has no effect the. Matter effect, it was as if the beast had soaked in the attack itself. “That’s right, they absorb source at a rapid rate, causing them to build up hard and hard skin, eventually mimicking dense stone and even source metal itself. They completely resist any source attack, and, like me, they can also see source. What am I so to do? And where did that Dragon go?” Rev thinks to himself. The Tartarus-Gators dig into the ground. Rev watches their movements from above and makes sure to dodge out of the way as they lunch themself at him. With no way of currently damaging them, Rev makes a break for it at top speed.

  “RHHHAA!”

A dragon comes out of nowhere and has it rain fire on Rev. Rev takes the attack head on wind blasting up and through the flames. He throws his dagger, putting a spin on it to have it curve around and hit the dragon’s eye.

  “AAAAH” The dragon cries out.

Rev then swaps with the dagger and finds himself inside the dragon’s eye. He lets out a powerful fire blast inside the dragon's eye, creating a violent explosion. The explosion blew half the dragon’s face to pieces. The dragon attempts to swing its claws at Rev, but ends up missing and falling to the ground.

  BOOM!

A small creator blown into the grown. Rev then climbs out of the dragon’s skull. He looks around to see that the Tartarus Gators are still after him. The dragon’s head begins to heal. “I don’t have time for this,” Rev thinks. He tries to cast an art, but as he brings source to his hand, it activities the fire blast. Rev sighs as the rumbling of the Tartarus gators gets louder and louder. “I’ll work this out later,” Rev thinks. He heals his hand up and begins his cast. The dragon begins to stand up slowly as it continues to heal. Rev focus on his source control, making sure to stay calm above all else. His hands move quickly, flashing through signs as he pulls as much source as he can from the nearby plants and animals. Using the dragon itself as fuel to the flame.

  “Red Dwarf”

  VEERRRF!

A blinding red flash of light emits and quickly expands from between Rev’s hands. Everything is an 3 mile ratios is completely incinerated with an affected range of 6 miles. Rev lets out a breath of relief.

“That’s one way to kill those things.” Rev says.

Rev walks over to the now empty looking shell of the Tartarus gators. He stares at their empty eye sockets. It seems that not all parts of their body can absorb soure as well as other parts. Their stone like skin seems fine though, even though the same attack completely erased the dragon I was fighting. At least I know I can use that art effectively now, but why was there even a dragon out here in the first place?” Rev thinks to himself. With an attack like that, Rev was once again low on source. It would be best for him to stay low for now. He retrieves his dagger and continues on his way to Frayer.

Note: Art used “Red Dwarf”, Type: Source to fire transformation, Tier: Great

Unfortunately for Rev, the fight is all but over. He gets’s up, his body feeling as if it had been hollowed out due to the lack of source. He tries to take a step forward, but it feels as if the floor below him is swiveling in all different directions.

  Ru…

Rev’s legs give out and it soon fades to black. A few moments later, 2 Dragons walks up to Rev to making sure he’s fully unconscious. They pick him up and take off his body, handing in their claws.

“The Dragons are on the move more than 50 of them have been spotted.”

“Some of them have also been releasing stone beast to reak havoc on the land. Almost all of our scouts have gone missing. Surviving member describe beast that can’t be hurt by source-based attacks.”

“Call in all scouts, immediately, and start gathering the troops. Bring notice to all the cities under the elf king’s control. We will not be taking any chance of a sneak attack of any kind.”

As the elves prepare their defenses. Rev is on his way to Tartarus with what seems like no hope of escape. The dragons fly as fast as they can, rushing straight back to their queen. Cinder, meanwhile, is making a quick work of the southern jungle. Cinder’s feelings of excitement to reunite with his brother after so long and his chilling bloodlust for anyone who might get in the way of that wrestle with in him. The jungle seems to shake with every step and the crates with in it flee in all directions.

  -2 days later

“My queen, we have done it. We have brought you Red eye!”

The queen leans her head down to get a better look at the torn up dark elf. “He’s almost dead…perfect. Have all the remaining dragons return to Tartarus at once.” The queen orders.

  “Right away my queen.”

At the same time of the dragons being called back, Loka is finding his way to his bunker, when he senses a large amount of source a head.

  “RAAAAHHH!”

The dragon’s call is heard for dozens of miles. “Did steel escape?…no he couldn’t have. So what is a random dragon doing out here?” Loka wonders. The dragon notices Loka and immediately begins to fly away. “IT’S RUNNING?” Loka thinks. Loka begins to try to chase after it, but the dragon is much faster than Loka’s plane.

  Loka sighs. “Fine..”

He ejects from his plane, having it glide down to the snow below. Loka then cast a powerful wind blast so strong it creates a sonic boom. Loka, little by little, catches up to the fleeing dragon.

“Come back here, you coward!” Loka tries to yell.

The dragon’s ego is hurt, but pride is nothing more than a meaningless speck of sand compare to the orders of the queen. The dragon then feels his scales being ripped apart by Loka’s hands.

“What are you doing here?” Loka asks.

The dragon is stunned. “So this is Loka…” the dragon thinks.

  “HEY! ANSWER ME!” Loka says.

The dragons smile “It’s already too late. We have red eyes!” The dragon says with a mocking laugh to follow.

Loka does not seem amused in the slightest. “Take me to him,” Loka's voice is steady and cold.

“You know what, I’d be honored to,” the dragons says with a wicked smile.

Loka, now riding on the back of a dragon, is on his way to Tartarus. Has Loka finally lost it? Has he bitten off more than he can chew? Only time will tell. Across the mountain in Paradise, the elf king becomes irritated.

“I thought the dragons were to attack? From what i sense now there in a mass treated.” The king says.

“Am sorry my king, when so many of them where spotted we were sure they were about to lunch an attack any day, but it seems we don’t fully understand their intention. An attack can still be on its way. I suggest we don’t lower our guard anytime soon.”

The elf king sigh and start to float up, glaring down at the elf advisor. “I’ll make that dection for myself.” The elf king says.

  BOOM!

He shoots off at moc speeds. “Oh…no” the advisor thinks. He immediately runs off to the inner council room and calls a meeting.

“What is it?” Peter asks. He is the first to show up.

“The king is gone! He just flew off.” The adviser says.

“Fuck…Matthew still ways a way…We have no way of contacting with Loka right now. Any message sent would be all too late.” Peter thinks.

“Keep this between the inner council. Word of the king leaving could cause unwanted problems-”

“The kings left?” Iscariot says as he walks into the room.

“Yes, only a few moments ago. He said he sense that the nearby dragons have started to retreat. My guess is that he’s after them.” The adviser says.

Peter sigh “yes, and not that I don’t trust in the king’s strength, but everyone has their limits. Am afraid he might be falling into a trap of some sort.” Peter says.

“A trap? What with the dragons, you give them too much credit.” Iscariot tells Peter.

“Either way, the dragon’s actions should be treated with concern. Why would so many of them just start fly around and then retreat after dropping a couple beast?” Peter asks.

“They just want to cause trouble simple enough. Talking about those beasts, one of them attack a group of farms. If we don’t get them under control soon, they might pose a serious problem. The normal guard has no chance against them. They need to be taken down with brute strength.” Iscariot says.

“There cutting off our food supply. Those beasts are smarter than they look.” Peter says.

back in the southern jungle of Eavan, retreating dragons are dropping like flies.

  “AHAHA! GET UP!” Cinder yells.

“This cyclops is fucking insane…so this must be Cinder.” The dragon thinks.

Cinder sigh then disappears from the dragon’s sight. “Wher-”

  CRUNK

The scales of the dragon are shattered under Cinder’s fist. He dashes to the dragon, grabs its tail, and violently swings it around. He uses the momentum to swing it over his head and send the dragon crashing straight into the ground. Cinder calls his spear back to him. He begins to cast an art on the spear as the dragon slowly gets up in a daze.

  “Tempest bolt.” Cinder says.

  BOOM

A sonic boom shakes the surround trees as the spear tunnels through the dragon’s core.

  “AHHHH!” the dragon cries out.

Cinder dashes forward, climbing up the dragons as it begins to fall again. He pulls back his fast, his eye cold and steady.

“Prepare for your damnation.” Cinder says.

  BANG!

Cinder first caves his the dragons battered skull. The dragon’s brain scatters across the ground. Cinder floats down and creates a wind blast from his body to clean the blood off. He holds still as his sense got off.

  BOOM!

He flies straight up, the dragon shoots out its breath attack that mimics a smoke cloud. Cinder has no problem pushing through and landing a clean blow on the dragon’s jaw. The dragon flight back, wiping its tail around at Cinder. Cinder catches the attack and sends the dragon crashing down. As the dragon transforms, a large cloud of smoke covers the jungle before Cinder can retrieve his spear. Cinder lets out source wave to locate the beast. The dragons, without making a sound, he swipes its claws at Cinders’ neck. Cinder, in an instant, flips over and lands a devastating kick on the top of the dragon’s head. The sound of the scales shatter along with some of the bone echos throughout the dark jungle.

“Who do you think you are? I have killed more of you beast then you could ever hope to count to and that’s assuming you can count in the first place. All you are is a disease on this planet, one I vowed to cleanse this world of. When am done with world shall finally know peace again.” Cinder says.

The dragon’s laugh as blood runs down its face. “We live by the rules of strength. One strength is who you are. The weak will die and the strong will live. Two strength is something that can be obtained chase it and you can live a life never boring. Three, honor-”

“I don’t remember asking for a speech, but to your lowly credit-”

Cinder dodges, the ice beam catching only his elbow. He straightens his arm, shattering the ice.

  “Frost, keep him busy”

“Do you know who this cyclops is smoke?” Frost says with a sigh.

“Strength is wasted on the least ambitious .” Smoke thinks.

Cinder smile “Am glad to see my face alone is enough to know your death is imminent.” Cinder says.

Frost looks unbothered. He quickly transforms, his scale shrinks down, keeping the icy blue color. His eye darken during a soulless white. His hands covered in a frost that quickly spread. Branching out to attack Cinder. Cinder cuts them down with his bare hands. He zips around Frost looking for an opening. Frost is quick to keep up with him. Cinder never leaving his sight. Smoke heals his head and joins the fight, pushing Cinder into one of Frost’s incoming attacks. Cinder leans into the push and grabs hold of Smokes’ hand. He then redirects him into Frost's attack.

  “Fuck!” Smoke yells.

Cinder flies down to get his spear. He uses Smokes’ temperley paralysed state and sends a Tempest bolt at him.

  BOOM!

“Well…that’s not good,” Frost says as he sees the Smoke be spit in two.

Cinder attempt to attack Frost while he’s distracted, but he’s noticeably alert and stops Cinder. Smokes half’s plumit towards the jungle floor. His vison is blurred and distorted as he looks up at the fight.

  BOOM!

  CRUNK!

  BANG!

  WHOOSH

Smoke tries to heal the best he can, but Frost can hold Cinder back no longer. Frost arm is cut off and Cinder then lodges his fist in Frost's chest. Frost tries to raise his arm, but cinder begins to cast repetitive wind blast inside him. Slowly filling him up until…Pop. Frost scales fail to contain the presser and he’s body scatters only his skeleton remains in the hand of Cinder. Cinder scales the jungle floor as the smoke begins to settle.

“Your not going to run, are you?” Cinder asks, laughing.

Smoke looks up, feeling weirdly uneasy. “So this is death…” Smoke thinks as Cinder drives his spear through his skull.

“Three in one day I havn’t killed this many dragons sense the war.” Cinder says.

He floats up and looks in the distance. “I’ll be home soon…” Cinder says with a hint of nervousness in his other wise dried out voice.
