Chapter 11 Not Going to the Hospital

  Not medical

Just like eating millet porridge, he fed her a spoonful and she swallowed a mouthful. Before long, the small cup of medicine was all gone.

After feeding her medicine, she looked like she was half asleep. Kokomura felt uncomfortable himself and said to her: "Go to sleep. It's safe here, no one will hurt you."

She opened her eyes, blinked a few times looking at him, still with that dull expression, no change whatsoever.

However, Yukimura clearly sensed the distrust in her eyes. That complete blackness was just like at the beginning. Even though she knew in her heart that he wouldn't hurt her, yet she still couldn't completely put her mind at ease.

"Or... I'll take you to the hospital?" he asked softly. The hospital is crowded, with doctors and nurses around. No matter what time it is, if something happens, treatment can be received quickly. But here, if it's midnight, he can't go knock on Mr. Kawashima's door, can he?

She didn't move, but suddenly stared at him fiercely, staring very hard to express her unwillingness. Yukimura pretended not to see it and turned around to make a phone call in the hall.

But just a few steps later, a yellow flash flashed by, and the speed was so fast that it couldn't be seen clearly. Then the door suddenly closed with great force, making a loud noise. Kosuke was startled and didn't react for a moment to what had happened.

This room, which clearly had its windows closed, how could...

A tennis ball suddenly rolled to his feet. Kōmura picked up the ball and crouched down, only then noticing a clear ball mark on the door. It was obvious that someone had slammed the ball against the door from behind with great force, closing it shut.

He turned around and saw the girl propping herself up with her body, panting heavily.

"Not... hospital... killed you..." She gasped, speaking with difficulty and indistinctly, finishing her sentence before falling back, desperately breathing.

Kōmura was still clearly in shock, standing still on the spot, staring blankly at the tennis ball in his hand, clearly not in a state.

It wasn't until the faint sound of her gasping for breath reached his ears that he came back to himself, hastily rushing over to lift up the quilt and, as expected, seeing that the quilt and newly changed white undershirt were stained with a large patch of blood again, the wounds on her chest and abdomen must have split open once more.

"Damn it, how could you...!" He gritted his teeth, too angry to speak. If he had known this would happen, he shouldn't have pretended not to see her glare at him earlier!

He bent down and skillfully unbuttoned her. This button had been unbuttoned three times in one day, and if he wasn't familiar with it, he would be now.

She refused his advances, opening her mouth several times but unable to speak due to pain, so he only heard "no... doctor..." a few vague words.

She persisted in this way, and Yukimura was completely at a loss.

All I could do was go along with her and comfortingly say: "Okay, okay, I won't take you to the hospital, I won't make a phone call, I won't send you to the hospital..."

She finally calmed down and returned to her usual puppet-like state, cooperating with him as he changed into new bandages.

He waited until she had finished packing and then she closed her eyes and fell into a deep sleep.
