Chapter 7 The One I Like

Chapter Seven: The One I Like

The sunset's rays pass through the magnificent curtains and shine on the wooden floor, a pair of elegant fingers play on the black and white piano keys, fluent notes jump between the fingers, the warm sunset is like a loving hand, bringing warmth and happiness to the area it illuminates.

A little swan in a white skirt danced rhythmically to the music, with a radiant and happy smile on her delicate face. As she twirled and leaped freely, her dancing posture became even more beautiful, and this dance seemed to come alive under her interpretation, leaving people with a soul-stirring feeling after watching it.

The music ended, and the jumping girl stopped her movements, standing beside the piano with a warm smile. The pianist withdrew his hands, lifted his head to look at her, and his gentle eyes were filled with affection.

"Girl, your dance is getting better and better, even brother is moved by your dance." Lin Ze Chen stood up, fondly rubbed the girl's head.

"Brother, don't tease me anymore." Lin Yuchen lowered his head in embarrassment.

"When did your brother ever tease you? Alright, take your time to practice, I still have some documents to review." Lin Ze Chen put away the fatigue in his eyes and stretched out his hand to hug his sister standing in front of him, giving her silent encouragement.

"Hey, brother, don't be too tired." She didn't ignore the fatigue in his eyes. Since their father decided to hand over the company to her brother, his life had become especially busy and he had less time to spend with her.

The sky on the other side gradually darkened, and the people in the dance room were still practicing seriously. Although the wound on her knee was still a bit painful, she could bear it. She attached great importance to this competition, and she also heard from the minister that Liu Xinyi, the senior who won the first prize in the national competition for Jin Yi last time, would also return from the UK to participate. She was very much looking forward to making a good performance in this competition.

Ever since Minister of Entertainment, Xia Weiya helped Lin Yuchen last time and let her participate in this art competition smoothly, Lin Yuchen had an inexplicable good impression on her. She also didn't proudly refuse her naive and kind request, after the two became friends, they often exchanged messages, no matter what happened, they would send a message to ask about each other's well-being before feeling at ease.

Those simple years that passed under the camphor tree, in the prime of youth, showed off its brilliance and dazzle. Without sorrow, happiness is the simplest thing.

"Light rain, the day after tomorrow is the art competition, are you nervous?" Xia Weiya handed Lin Yuchen a bottle of Vita milk, looking at her seriously and expecting her response.

"Oh, how should I put it? I'm supposed to be a bit nervous, right? And Liu Xinyi, the legendary dance genius, will also be there. It's a lie if I say I'm not nervous." She turned her head and smiled foolishly at Xia Weiya, her eyes narrowed into slits, making Xia Weiya feel a little dazed. She had always been curious about what it was that made her smile so happily all the time. Even without being spoiled like other students, she could still be content with small happinesses. She's really a strange person.

"Don't worry, I have confidence in you!" She patted Lin Yuchen's shoulder, her confident expression making it seem like she was also participating in the competition.

"Ah, I'll work hard!" She will make an effort, for her dreams and to be close to a certain someone. No matter how tough or tiring it gets, she will persevere. Thinking of that person, a warm smile blooms on the corner of her mouth again. She thinks, perhaps this is happiness.

Seeing her smiling foolishly by herself, Xia Weiya nudged her with her shoulder, breaking her reverie.

"Hey, what's on your mind? You're smiling like a fool, with drool coming out of your mouth." She looked at Lin Yuchen and seemed to have guessed something, so she deliberately teased her.

"Ah...... nothing, nothing." Regaining her usual calm demeanor, Lin Yuchen didn't want to let her see her flustered state.

"What's going on? You've got a crush on someone?" Seeing her flustered appearance, Xia Weiya felt that she was even more guilty.

"It's not like that... it's not what you think."

"What's it like? Tell me!" Xia Weiya shook Lin Yuchen's hand, waiting for her to tell him the truth.

"Whatever..." she said, and then retreated back to the dance area like a deserter, using practice as an excuse to cover up her inner panic.

"What are you running away from? It's not like it's something that can't be seen, come on and tell me." Xia Weiya said with a smile.

"You have to keep it a secret for me!" Lin Yuchen looked cautious and uneasy.

"Of course! We're sworn sisters!" Xaviya said with a proud look on her face.

"I... have..." Lin Yuchen didn't know how to start, and was held back by the reserve of a young girl.

"What? You're pregnant?" Xavia's voice rose in shock, as if she had just heard something earth-shattering. Had she misheard?

"Shh, don't speak so loudly! What's gotten into you, anyway?" Hearing her mishear his words, Lin Yuchen turned around in exasperation and refused to look at her.

"Oh...... You're saying you have someone you like now, right?" Unable to bear teasing her anymore, Xaviya became serious.

"Uh-huh," she nodded and replied softly.

"Who is it? It can't be... " She seemed to have thought of a person who might make her happy, and the newspaper reporter was him.

"Who do you think it is?" Lin Yuchen said irritably, looking at Xia Weiya's exaggerated expression.

"Could it be Wangzi Yan?" This was who she thought most likely.

"Yes, it's him." Whenever she mentions him, she always feels a sense of full happiness in her heart.

"Oh, it's Prince Yan after all. No wonder, he's so excellent." Xia Weiya's fleeting disappointment flashed across her eyes and disappeared into the sweltering air, quietly inaudible.
