Chapter 8 The World of Dance

Chapter 8 The World of Dance

Many times in the scorching summer, the branches and leaves were evaporated of their moisture by the scorching sunlight, becoming spiritless, even the earth appeared with fine cracks.

Finally, the first summer rain arrived, the azure sky was replaced by a grayish cloud, and big raindrops fell from high altitude. The whole earth was shrouded in white rain. Trees were breathing fresh air and rainwater with abandon, and the damp soil was filled with the scent of mud and fallen leaves.

The sky is exceptionally clear after the rain, and the sun shines out with a smile from behind the clouds. A faint rainbow hangs in the distance at the edge of the sky. The rainwater on the leaves is dazzlingly bright under the sunlight, and everything seems to have regained its vitality and energy as before.

Lin Yuchen walked out of the air-conditioned dance room, feeling sore all over from a day's practice. A heavy rain had just fallen, washing everything clean and freshening the air. Behind the dance room was an empty space filled with green grass and some light purple flowers, next to which stood some luxuriant camphor trees.

It used to be a badminton court, but after the school's facilities were improved and several large badminton courts and tennis courts were built, this badminton court was no longer in use, until it grew into endless weeds.

Lin Yuchen gazed at the bright scenery in front of her after the rain, and all her fatigue was swept away. The cicadas on the camphor tree chirped in waves, and the rainwater on the leaves reflected the dazzling sunlight. Lin Yuchen slightly narrowed her eyes to enjoy this peacefulness. Suddenly, an idea flashed through her mind, and a brilliant smile bloomed at the corner of her mouth.

In a place without music, the cicadas also stopped their chirping. Lin Yuchen lightly tiptoed and slowly raised her hands to dance, her movements so light they almost merged with the quiet surroundings. Carefully savoring the fresh air that brought her infinite inspiration, she used the most free and elegant movements to interpret the world she felt. During her dance, the cicadas and leaves seemed to be moved by her dance as well, quietly appreciating it.

The dancing girl was unaware that behind the camphor tree, someone was quietly watching her, with eyes shining with admiration and appreciation. It had been a long time since she saw someone dance without music, yet still grasp such a profound state of mind.

The dancing girl finally stopped, slightly tilting her head with a smile all over her face, seemingly very satisfied with her dance. The person behind the tree watched her subtle movements, as if infected by her, and couldn't help but smile slightly. She was special, that was his first impression of her.

When Lin Yuchen turned around, he suddenly found someone standing behind the tree and was startled for no reason.

"Y... who are you?" Lin Yuchen spoke first, indeed she was frightened. But when she saw the person clearly, she felt a little shocked. The person in front of her looked really good, with black curly hair falling on his shoulders, and his bangs perfectly aligned with his eyebrows, revealing a pair of deep and bright eyes. His long eyelashes were slightly curled up, and his delicate face was even more lovely and charming with the long curly hair. The noble aura emanating from him made Lin Yuchen a little dizzy, she had never seen such a perfect person before, it was like a work of art created by God!

"Am I disturbing you?" She didn't answer her question, but just gave her a faint smile. The gentle voice was like the warm sunlight after the rain.

"No... nothing." Seemingly aware of his own abruptness, Lin Yuchen became slightly flustered.

"You dance really well!" She sincerely praised her talent.

"Thank you." Lin Yuchen felt dazed and thought that she and Yan Wangzi were the same, both emitting dazzling light that made people dare not look directly.

"Are you a dance major?" The girl's soft words sounded particularly pleasant in Lin Yuchen's ears.

"Uh-huh." Lin Yuchen slightly lowered her head and spoke with the beautiful woman, feeling pressured.

"You practice slowly then, I won't disturb you anymore." The girl said and turned to leave the wet empty space. Lin Yu Chen looked at her leaving back and smiled foolishly. For her, a sentence of praise or having an audience appreciate her dance would make her very happy.

Clasping tightly the small happiness, revealing the most pure and bright side, the lost luster under the camphor tree, in the fading memories, gradually returning to its original color. Happiness and joy set off together, with the blessing of angelic sanctity all along the way.
